Something fun

So, I am already getting eager to make time go faster redface.gif.  I am hoping to offset my impatience by planning little fun things for myself to look forward to each week before the baby comes.  They don't have to be expensive or even cost anything. Do you have any ideas, suggestions, or things you have already done?

My plan is to have at least one fun thing or goal each week so that while I am focussed on getting ready for my little girl to come, I also have some point that is a mental break and stress reliever.  This week I hosted a mary kay party for a friend.  I don't really wear make up but it was fun to get the apt ready for friends to come over and the mary kay friend really needed a place to get started.

So far, I am planing on:  finishing a quilt, getting my hair cut, using henna to dye my hair, paint my toe nails, take an uninterrupted/guilt free bath, having some cleaners clean the apt, and going read a magazine at barnes and noble while eating a pastry, date night with DH ( maybe even a movie!).

I see from your siggy that you already have a LO.  If you're crafty, maybe make a simple "Welcome Baby!" book, full of your LOs scribbles or fingerpaints (etc) for the new baby? Maybe laminate the papers, and have simple, cute words written across ("We can't wait to meet you!") and then hole punched and ribbon or yarn tied together? I am hoping to do this with my two boys...

I just got a free prenatal massage at the local massage school, and it was heavenly. I was part of the students prenatal exam.   You could check if there are any training programs in your area looking for guinea pigs.

I had a pedicure at a place that is inexpensive, I have gone to them prior to getting pregant.  I am planning on going again late March before the baby comes.  I spend the extra $5 to have a design on my big toe.  They do a really good job and it is so relaxing for an hour.  You could check into beauty schools, sometimes they will do it free or really cheap due to training.  That is where my best friend getes her hair cut and colored, it may take longer that normal but it would be a suggestion.

Ah! such a great idea! I have been trying to come up with a present from him for his sister and that is a great idea, he loves drawing pictures!
