Getting paid under the table.

Hello everyone!  I wanted to ask a question about how you feel about people getting paid under the table.

I'm sort of 50/50 on the issue.  There have been instances in my life where I was paid under the table.

I worked at a medical facility that was shut down and was out of work for many months. 

And living on unemployment sucked.  I'm a single mom and also take care of my mom so I had to do what I had to do.

I do know of men who were garnished for childsupport and decided to quit work to stop paying (pitiful), and just take up side jobs that pay under the table.

It generally doesn't work in your favor.  If you're on unemployment you could be turned in.  But that's neither here nor there.  Also if you ever run out of work, you can't claim unemployment the next time you need it.  I get it that it sucks we've dealt with it before.  You don't have to listen to me though, I'm a do the right thing even when nobody is looking type.
