hi there ladies! my son was born Jan 30 2012!! im nursing right now constantly so cant write the whole story. it was a natural hospital birth the only intervention was manual membrane rupture on 8 cm, the reason--baby's head wasnt engaged hence high risk of cord prolapse (and this is how i lost my baby R). the rest was wonderful, 5 hours labor, 10 minutes pushing time (thank you RLT!). baby was 4 kg and 54cm, minor tears and few stitches that i dont even notice. after that had a very rough time with breastfeeding, bleeding nipples, wasn't able to feed my bubsie for a week, hand expressing wasn't going very well, supplemented with donor milk and unfortunately even formula. but now, all praise to Allah, we are back on track, EBF, nursing all day and all night! bringing my supply back by nursing and drinking ground black seed in milk (boil 1 glass of milk, add 1 table spoon of ground black seed and brew it like tea for 15 minutes. drink slowly during the day). :)

How wonderful that everything worked out for you and that the baby is safe in your arms!!  Good luck with the nursing, stick to it and work that latch - it makes such a difference in the level of pain!!

Congrats!!  So glad the baby is here safe and sound!  I hear you on the painful, bleeding nipples.  I've been battling that for 2 weeks.  So glad you are able to BF exclusively again.  I've just been gritting my teeth and dealing with it.  Enjoy your babymoon!
