I don't have any advice or suggestions, I am just so sorry you're dealing with all this.  I can only hold out hope that the bloodwork comes back normal and that you are much earlier than you thought (is that possible?).  It's so hard.  Sending positive vibes your way and I hope others who might have had similar experiences can offer more concrete advice.

Sadly, it's possible you got a false positive on the tests you did.  Just a quick Google search reveals a few (rare) reasons this could happen:

  1. Fertility treatment: If you receive shots of hCG or gonadotropins (for example, Pregynl, Profasi, Pergonal, APL) for ovulation it's posible to have a positive urine or blood pregnancy test for two to three weeks after the shot and not be pregnant. A rising blood hCG level usually indicates a pregnancy.
  2. Evaporation line. If you read the test after the suggested time has passed.
  3. Improper Testing - When taking a home pregnancy test, it is very important to read the directions before testing. Your home pregnancy test instructions will specify when test results should be interpreted and when test results are no longer valid. Some tests will produce a faint positive test result if read after the instructed time. You should use a clock or a watch and record the time you perform the test and read results at the instructed time. Guessing how long it has been since performing the test can lead to false results. Three minutes can seem like twenty minutes and vice versa when you are anxiously waiting to find out if you are expecting.
  4. Chemical pregnancy - This is a pregnancy that has a positive pregnancy test but the embryo or fetus do not develop
  5. Certain rare medical conditions such as trophoblastic disease, islet-cell tumors
  6. Medications - Some drugs like Methadone, chlordiazepoxide, or promethazine can give a false positive pregnancy test
  7. "Phantom-hCG" The most important though rare false positive blood test is a where a woman has a low positive blood pregnancy test but she is not pregnant and the urine test is negative.

8. Defective Pregnancy Test - Expired tests or faulty home pregnancy tests can also lead to false positive results. Always check the expiration date before testing to assure accurate results. Keep in mind, even with the highest quality control, an occasional defective test may occur.

Obviously, some of these you can dismiss... (You took more than one test, so it can't be a defective test.  If the test is still positive, then it's not a chemical pregnancy.  You're not reading the tests improperly, etc.)  But some of the other stuff would be stuff only you would know (medications and so on).  Considering the fact that your chart is unclear in terms of ovulation and so on, it seems like perhaps a false positive is the most likely source.  But I don't know, obviously.

The best and hardest thing to do is wait for the results of your bloodwork.  Any word on when you might get that back?

I am so sorry this is happening.  Is an ectopic possible?  I know you said your tubes are clear, but they couldn't see mine with a vaginal or abdominal u/s. I actually got negative hpts then got a period like normal so didn't test anymore.  Around 6.5 weeks started spotting a little then a few days later really bad cramps which lasted a couple days until my DH insisted we go to the ER.  My tube had ruptured and my abdomen was slowly filling with blood.

I really hope this is not the case for you and that maybe your u/s tech made a mistake and you are indeed pregnant in the uterus, with dark hpts there is certainly hcg in your system!

My last miscarriage was similar. Positive HCG, almost doubling (not quite normal though) and going up every test I took. Just before 6 weeks I had an ultrasound, and they found nothing. Apparently the sac only begins to form after your HCG reaches a certain number (can't remember the number!), mine never reached that number.

So they called it a "missed miscarriage" I started bleeding a few days later. I was still getting positive pregnancy tests for 4-5 weeks after I stopped bleeding too - it was so painful to have to be sad when I saw the positive :(

I'm so sorry you are going through this again, sending you peace.

Hi!  I found this thread by searching information on progesterone, and I found an old post by you about progesterone cream.

Just wanted to lend a little support and hope!

I had a M/C in December, and I had an U/S one day, which showed a small but healthy sac and NOTHING else.  The very next day, there was a little sweetie pie in there WITH a beating heart! (Very slow a 68 bmp, and I miscarried the next day.)  I was about 7 weeks, 3 days at that point.  My point is that things can change very very quickly, and it may just be that no development has happened YET, but it might.

Are you using progesterone cream?  (Sorry if you already mentioned that you are, I haven't read every word of the posts here just yet.)  If not, I certainyl would!  I spotted for a few days before my period after my M/C, which is a sign of low progesterone.  I have been taking extra B-6 every day since my last period, which is supposed to help.  If not, I may try the progesterone cream.

Good luck!  Hope everything turns out well for you, if not now, very soon!

Oh, and are you nursing?  I was still night nursing when I miscarried.  I really deep down think it may have caused my progesterone to be low, especially since I have been spotting before my periods.  I am 33, and I think I "got away with" nursing while pregnant the first time because I was a few years younger.  Unfortunately, age does play a role here.  :(  He is basically fully weaned now, except for like once every 4-5 days.  (I can't believe there is even any milk still in there!)

I am so sorry you're going through this :(  It must be so so difficult.  When will you have the results from your blood draw?

I am posting from the other side.  I was 100% of conception date, got a BFP at 9 days past ovulation.  Had an u/s at 6wk2days and it was empty, nothing.  My Dr called me (we were prepping to leave for two weeks to another state for a hospital stay with 2 of our other kids) saying it was likely ectopic and she was not sure what to do since we were leaving state.  But that there was no pregnancy.  She did a blood test, then right before we left did another, called while we were out of state and said HCG doubled so just hang tight and we would look when I returned.  We came back and had an u/s 15 days later and saw something, finally.

I know my situation is probably the least likely, but for what it is worth, I had a positive outcome.  Regardless of your outcome, I will you peace and luck.
