Heartburn!

Just started to get bad heartburn in the last few days. I am 21 weeks. I never have this when not pregnant. Any homeopathic remedies? It seems to be with anything I eat, even yogurt.

Activated charcoal works GREAT, but it will stop you from absorbing anything (supplements or even nutrients from food) so it's not good for everyday use. I have used it for my daughter with reflux and I give her a crushed up cal/mag oxide and an activated charcoal capsule in a half glass of milk; it stops it instantly. For regular use papaya enzyme works well for some women, liquid cal/mag works well too. I have also heard of people using aloe vera juice. As far as homeopathics I use nux vomica and aconite for gas/indigestion but have not noticed them helping the heartburn so much, mag phos or calc phos (cell salts, not true homeopathics) may help it more. Also, some people get heartburn because they actually don't have enough stomach acid; they swear by apple cider vinegar to get rid of heartburn.

I've been eating a dried papaya spear when the heartburn strikes me, and it actually works! (clearly from my tone, I didn't think it would, but it's the cheapest, easiest fix I've found!).
