My DS hates the carseat. HATES IT. He screams the.whole.time he's in the car, until he finally wears himself out and passes out. It's miserable. We've tried a Baby Einstein mirror, toys on his carseat, and a portable DVD player... Nothing works.
Anyways, my DH is convinced that the reason he hates the carseat is because he's rear facing. He said a guy at work turned his DD over at 9 MONTHS and she was okay in the carseat after that. I about died when I heard that.
PLEASE flood me with links on why you should rear face your child until 2 years of age so that I can show him. I tried the whole, "It's against the law" tactic but he disproved that one really quick.
Also, if anyone has a picture of their toddler rear facing, that'd be amazing. When I was talking to him about it, he goes, "How would they fit facing that way when they're that big?". I told him there were special carseats but he's still waiting for the day when he can turn my DS around.
