Taking the Scenic Route...to a BFP - Page 60

Sorry It's taken me so long to write back... I had that Cowboy/ Bears Game last night GO BEARS!! i love football games even better when my team wins!! ... Ok so the blood test came back negative.. I mean I already knew I wasn't pregnant... But I still had tears welp up in my eyes when Amy (the nurse) called!! and then i started spotting almost immediatley after I hung up from her... then today AF came ... and OUCH I am cramping horrible... So I went in for my baseline sono today and my meds ...We are doing IUI again... So my plan for this cycle is Day 3 through 7 Clomid 100 mg... day 5 through 10:  75IU of follistem injectables ... Sooo I am hoping this one takes of course!! I am not going to get my hopes all up like last time.. and I am not talking about it with anyone except you ladies and DH of course...  MY QOD : " I would rather lives with a Oh well than a what if "  (this quotes helps me through decisions all the time... I think about IVF and I the money and I would rather live with a Oh well i am out the money and no baby than a what if It works what if it doesn't?? I think I have to try!! ) But with all that being said... I still would rather get Pregnant with a IUI ... lol ... Also i am taking the Doctors advice about iui / ivf .... I trust her and she is a awesome RE ..... On another note Dh is having his knee surgery tomorrow so i will be babying him for a while... he deserves it!! I love that man so much !!

Sherry: I think its still early.... Are you still sick? I hope you and DH get to celebrate BIG!!

SKJ: that is good that it is the herbs... I bet you feel much better!! maybe that means all these herbs are working in your body and preparing for a little baby!!

Bebe; i feel your frusteration!! the surgeon I work for is a huge ASS !! he talks down to everyone and is horrible to my DH... I told DH to quit!! and just work on our furniture business... I am thinking about quitting too... My MIL is opening a salon / boutique and she asked me to run it for her  I was so excited!! I was like HECK YES!! If I ever win the LOTTO I am buying us all babies ( IVF ) lol and paying for all of us to fly to colorado and get the IVF together while relaxing at a spa afterwards I say colorado cause that is supposed to be the best IVF clinic ( It's where Gulliana and Bill got there IVF done) ... also I had a friend go there and get pregnant with twins.. of course its 20,000.00 for 1 cycle though OUCH... Ohhh I just read your last entry YAAY Maybe that is implantation spotting? keep us informed... I feel we are all close to another BFP real soon... who will it be???

Indie: I am so excited about you IVF consult!! you have to tell me everything that they say!!! lol I tried to mention IVF to my doctor today and she told me that she really thinks IUI will work... but everything has to go just perfect ... She also said that after learning everything she has learned about fertility she is amazed how people get pregnant on there own!! i am going to read that link as soon as I finish making dinner ... maybe you will get pregnant with twins by Christmas time.. that would be the best present ever... imagine the awesome gifts you could give to your family to tell them you are pregnant! HOW EXCITING

TF: that is awesome you dh is wanting ivf!! that is a positive thing ... it sucks that he is going out of town during ovulation...BD a lot before and after.. lol  I hear ya on the boring sex haha ... I basically tell DH to just go quickly... He would do it all day everyday if he could haha a little TMI....I love you QOD also

Gtree: Ohhh sweet baby bump!! I can't wait to have to wear maternity clothes... i saw some really cute maternity jeans the other day too... have you felt any movement yet??

Chrissy: you you doing?/

Shell, I'm really sorry about the official BFN. :( Glad you enjoyed the game and your team won!! A little late for implantation spotting for me -- pretty sure AF is on her way, which is fine, because I knew this was a no go this cycle and I'd just like to get on with it. I'm going to get new CD3 labs and then maybe do your protocol this cycle or in November unless we decide to just jump to IVF to use insurance funds towards that. I'm sorry you get to experience the joys of a horrible boss, too!!

So have you guys checked out this site before for IVF success rates?

http://fertilitysuccessrates.com/report/United-States/women-under-35/data.html

Just wondering your thoughts about this site and their list of top 25 clinics in the US? The one I'm going to is in the top 10 so just wondering if you think it's legit?

shell - "I'd rather live with an 'oh well' than a 'what if'" another good one! i'm going add this to my mental arsenal thumb.gif

i've yet to have a doctor's office call me to tell me i'm not pregnant... i don't know that i would ever want to experience that... it would have to be hard to hear even if you already know that's the case. i'm so glad you got to enjoy a game where your team won! i will definitely fill you all in on the ivf consult. i'm halfway expecting the RE to suggest i try more IUIs and if i had endless resources i probably would prefer to do that... but alas... money is limited! it sounds like you have a great RE and a great plan for this next cycle!

bebe - that's great that your RE is in the top 10! i looked at the list for ages 35-37 and my RE is #24. glad to know they at least rank! i think the list seems fairly legit. i've heard that it's hard to truly know how successful an RE office is in producing live births simply because many of them turn away harder cases to keep their stats high. but i do think there is a lot of reassurance to be had seeing that your RE office ranks in the top 10! i know i'm certaintly reassured mine even makes it to the top 25 as they are the only one ranking in my age group in the state of FL and they just happen to be right down the street from me.

sherry - what does your test say today?? i'm still rooting for you!

chrissy - where are you at in your cycle?

toothfairy/gtree - hope you ladies are doing well!

afm - started spotting this a.m. so i'm pretty sure i O'd a day later than i originally thought (making me 13dpo today). verdict is still out, though, until AF shows. RE appt at 3pm. good vibes are appreciated smile.gif

So believe me, I am not getting overly excited here, but I POAS with an internet cheapie this morning, and I saw a second line! I've never had an evap, so I'm not sure what to look for in that case or why that happens. I did start spotting yesterday and temp dropped a bit today though, so I'm keeping my hopes in line with reality -- just enough hope to put good vibes out there but not so much that I'll have a breakdown if no + tomorrow.

But look! It's faint, but it was clearly there and showed up right away! Nice to see anyway. Actually, I can't make the photo bigger so you are really going to strain to see it. I promise it's there. :)

holy mother, bebe, THAT IS A BFP! GO GET A BLOOD TEST NOW!!!!

ACK!!!!

Thanks for the enthusiasm, Indie!! That was really nice to see your response :) Do you think blood test now, or just wait and POAS again tomorrow - maybe a FRER? What the heck is an evap anyway? Do they show up right away if they are going to? Should I not drink decaf coffee? Ahh, so many questions. Scared to POAS tomorrow! Oh, and does it still help to eat pineapple at this point? lol.

ohmygosh i'm so excited!!!! seriously, bebe!! lots and lots of women have spotting in early pregnancy... can you run your own betas at work??? :)

praying.gif i am not going to be able to concentrate for the rest of the day now!!!

evaps tend to show up AFTER the allotted time frame and i was able to zoom in and i swear i see color to that line! and it is quite dark for and evap... you are already on progesterone, right? i guess that would be the biggest reason to get a beta right away to make sure your progesterone is ok... other than that i suppose you can wait but DUDE i'd be peeing on sticks all day long with that dark of a line i'm sure you will get a bfp as the day goes on...

Oh Indie, you are such a gem! I'm sitting at my desk right now waiting to do a pap and feeling way too anxious! I just went to the bathroom - no more spotting! I do have a bit of vague cramping though, which is kinda worrying me. Oh Lord, please! I am taking progesterone. Maybe I'll call new new RE and ask for a beta (I don't want to do it at work b/c then they'd know!). Also, when I POAS this morning at 6:30 it wasn't really FMU because I got up at 3am to use the bathroom. So maybe it would have even been darker?

bebe, dear, if that is not a true bfp i will run down the street nekkid- that's how sure i'm feeling about it! ack! where are the other girls?? they need to weigh in!! cramping is a GREAT sign!!! ohmygosh i'm about to cry!

Indie, well at least my consolation prize if it's a no-go is knowing you are going to run down the street nekkid, ha! You are just so sweet.

WHERE IS EVERYONE?!?!?! We need more opinions!!! bebe - are you going to poas again anytime soon???? how often should i be refreshing this thread? :) :) :)
fyi i just got a text from a friend IRL who is also a long time mdc poster and our silent cheerleader and she says it' totally a bfp! you be pregnant, lady!

OH MY GAHD I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS THE FIRST DAY I HAVEN'T BEEN ON LIKE A DOZEN TIMES BY 1:50 PM (THE TIME RIGHT NOW) AND I TOTALLY MISSED YOUR BFP EXCITEMENT!!!!!

That is a BFP. I can see it clear as day.

Things to do.

1. Happy Dance

2. Call new new  RE.

3. Beta

4. Happy Dance

5. Cry

Okay?

Also, your website seems legit. I agree it becomes skewed because there are a lot of facilities who don't treat certain cases to keep their numbers high. My RE is nowhere near the top 25 (I think their success under 35 is like 52%) but they don't turn anyone away- also, MA has a lot more cases because our IVF is covered by insurance so I think that keeps us lower in statistics. Does make me want to fly to Spokane Washington to get a 79% success rate though, holy moly!

You guys are making me excited!! I'm going to POAS again at lunch, but of course I'm worried it will not pop up again! But I guess what will be, will be. Definitely still having some vague cramping. No more spotting though! Oh please, please, please Lord!
