Gtree, those are some very good questions for TF! Clearly you are a pro! :) Thanks for keeping positive for me! Did you worry about your betas doubling, or were you feeling more confident since you went through IVF? I think I get nervous because getting my BFP seemed like such a long shot to start with for some reason. But I'm super happy! Just want to see them double one more time. :) Did your RE check your betas for awhile, or just a couple times? It seems like some people on the forums get their betas checked for weeks on end! Yay for the new U/S of your twins! The spotting would have been nerve wracking for me too, but we both know it's totally normal. I'm so happy for you. Twins!! I still can't get over it.
Indie, so the only person I've told other than DH and you guys is my best friend, who I just told about an hour ago! She was quite surprised, especially since I completely just blurted it out! She asked though about my new RE appt, so I had to tell her. Plus I really wanted to tell her. It was nice! I totally can't wait to buy maternity pants, haha. Comfy!! So, I totally and completely think you might want to at least explore other REs in your area? I really don't want you going into this feeling anything less than completely confident. I understand though, it's such a pain to find someone new and start the whole consultation process over . . . have you looked online for reviews of REs? When I finally did that in San Diego I realized that the RE I wanted to go to in the first place (but had a mix-up at the office and they put me with someone else who I didn't jive with) was the person who had the most amazing reviews! I didn't ever want to go back there because I thought it would be awkward, and then totally regretted it. Anyway, all that to say, I think you should completely do what you need to do to feel comfortable. I forget, does your insurance cover some or all of IVF?
Shell, I'm sorry about your grandma. :( I'll be thinking of you and sending your BFP wishes for your IUI!!! I got + on OPKs with CBE digitals when I clearly wasn't ovulating. Was your + with a CBE digital?
TF, I'm so glad you made a decision about transferring, and are feeling good about things! Super exciting!! Yay for sneaky ovulation! That's awesome and sounds like great timing. I actually have my first U/S next Friday with REs office. No progress on getting an OB yet -- I think I'm actually going to go with a midwife.
AFM, like I told TF, I have my first U/S with my RE on 10/19 at 8am! Excited, and nervous. I should also have my beta back tomorrow.
