I'm just beginning my research on vaccines and I got to wondering if there is a difference in the ingredients in Canadian vaccines versus those given in the US.
I am Rh-, so I need to get a shot to make sure my body doesn't produce antibodies to positive blood in case my little one turns out with the opposite Rh factor. I had to get the shot first when I miscarried last spring and now that I'm pregnant, I am supposed to get it again. I started researching the shot and found that the one given in the US contains thimerosal, while the one given in Canada does not. I find that quite interesting and started to wonder if any other shots would be different.
Not that I'm making my mind up just on thimerosal content or anything, but I figured that the vaccines up here might not all be the same. The laws are a bit different up here and stricter in some cases regarding pharmaceuticals.
