What's your soapnut laundry detergent recipe?

I am planning to start using soapnuts with my next load of cloth diapers (bumgenius pocket diapers).  As I research online, it seems like the happiest soapnut customers are the ones who make a liquid detergent from their soapnuts.  However, the recipes differ greatly.  Some people use 2 cups of soapnuts and simmer for 30 minutes...other's use about a handful and simmer for 10 minutes.  Some people say it lasts a long time like that.  Others say you should refrigerate it.  I already have a hard time dealing with the fact that I have to go all the way down to my cold, concrete, spider covered basement.  I can't imagine have to carefully carry down 1/4 cup soapnuts detergent along with my laundry basket.  But there are a lot of repelling complaints with people who use the soapnuts right in the washer. (usually they experience this after many months of use)

So how do YOU make your soapnuts detergent and how do you store it?

Just thought of another question... If you make a soapnut liquid detergent, when do you add it to your diapers? I wash cold with no detergent, then hot WITH detergent and then an extra rinse at the end. With soapnuts you can throw the nuts right into the front loading HE washer...but if you've made a liquid, do you throw it in there right on the diapers or do you carefully pour it into the designated liquid detergent resevoir?

Okay, well, with no replies I'm trying 1/2 cup soapnuts in 4 cups of boiling water.  Then I put on the lid and turned off the heat.  Leaving to sit overnight and then I will refrigerate or freeze in ice cubes using 1/4 cup liquid per load of laundry.  I hope this works!
