Coming home tomorrow!

My little guy is coming home tomorrow after 54 days in the NICU. I'm a little apprehensive about it just because my first two kids were full-term and this one is so tiny! We're all very excited to have him home, though. We're looking forward to watching him grow and finally being a complete family. 

 

I really appreciate the women on this board who have showed me support and answered my questions and concerns. I'm sure I'll have more to come. Thank you!

I'm so glad to hear it!  It is scary at first, especially when you're used to having a team of nurses and round-the-clock monitors.  I hope the transition is smooth.  Is he coming home "cordless" or will he be on oxygen or apnea monitors or some such?

We are fortunate that he was able to come home without any "extras." His doctors asked us to continue giving him some of the preemie formula with breastmilk, and we are giving him vitamin D and Iron supplements. So far, so good!
