Low Blood Pressure and C-Section

I am wondering if anyone else had their blood pressure crash during their spinal?

In my reluctant RCS, my blood pressure dropped to 31/27 and after my c-section my pulse had a hard time rising enough for me to leave recovery.  The aenastiologist kept saying "Your okay, this is normal". 

Anyone have anything similar happen?

Yup.  Mine crashed during my c-section.  I complained of feeling intensely nauseated and was told that it was bc my blood pressure just crashed and they were giving me meds to keep it up.  I kept an eye on it the rest of the op and it dipped a few more times.

Mine did this for all three c sections, and also during 2 separate epidurals during prior pregnancies.  I think it is fairly common, but very scary.  I always remind my anesthesiologist, even though I know he knows and I specifically request him every time.  Mine also had a hard time stabilizing after my most recent section, and I wasn't allowed to stand up for 25 hours because it remained fairly low....low enough that they were sure I would fall down if I got up.

They know what to do in these cases...it's why they make the big bucks!

yup.  it feels horrible.  that's why they give you so much iv fluid beforehand, if they can.

they normally expect that to happen and are able to control it with drugs.  it's what i remember as the second worst thing about my last c, that and getting the spinal.  fortunately it only lasted a few seconds for me.
