6w4d morning sickness disappeared today :(

I have had red spotting a couple of times (4 week and last week at almost 6)... and by Thurs of last week I had also started getting really bad m/s. It was worse on Friday, slightly better over the weekend and today I am feeling really, really good... and spotting some black blood/discharge.

I am the least hopeful I've been greensad.gif but if this is a m/c I really want it to hurry up! I can't take the suspense anymore and my MW just says if it's a m/c there's nothing we can do anyways so just to wait it out.

Would there be any point in doing a PG test at this point? maybe one of those ones that tells me how many weeks I am, or a really sensitive one to see if I am still PG?

Hugs mama.  I know this can be a scary time.  Are you able to get an ultrasound somewhere?  That will help you understand what is going on with your body and the babe.  I had a m/c last August and was bleeding heavily by the time I went to the E/R.  The ultrasound showed that my babe had passed 1-2 weeks prior.  There was nothing to be done.

Many times light bleeding means nothing, many women get it in their first trimester and go on to have a full term birth.  But, sometimes, the babe is fine and your bleeding can be caused by low progesterone or irritable uterus (not a medical term per se).  You might be able to help with progesterone supplements and herbs such as cramp bark and false unicorn root (these two have been used to help prevent miscarriages).
