goodbye bugs with ess. oils?

We don't have a drier, so I hang our clothes on a line. Then these ugly, invasive laundry bugs come crawling in because they like the damp and shade! They are tresspassing in my laundry and I want them out!
Can I get rid of them using essential oils? If I put some oil in the wash cycle, or spray the clothes with a mixture after I hang them to dry? Does anyone have any suggestions of oils and/or methods to try?

Peppermint oil! Several drops in water is the only bug spray I use around the house - nothing comes near it. I spray doorways, window sills and any cracks where they seem to get in and the little buggers stay away. The house smells like a candycane! Give it a try.

Great idea! I was wondering what oil I should purchase next. There is a shop around the corner from me that sells ess. oils, but I don't know about the quality. If I use the peppermint for household use, does it need the same quality of oil as I would use as a tea?
