Mirena vs Paragard

i have had the mirena for almost 4 years now and i have decided to remove it and replace it with the paragard because i cant lose weight as much as i try with the mirena. Am i making the right choicde? will i be able to lose weight with the paragard?

I didn't hold weight on with the Paraguard, but I didn't actively try to lose weight either. It doesn't have hormones in it so I'd think it would be less likely to be a problem if you're trying to lose weight. Hopefully others will have more information, and also your health care provider might have some thoughts. Good luck!
