Hi,
does anyone have the kowalli baby cover? is it double or single layered?
I cannot get one where I live, therefor I want to sew something for myself and am wondering if one layer heavy fleece would be warm enough...

I don't have one, but based on pictures I've looked at it appears to have two layers, since it is two different colours (inside colour and outside colour). But if your fleece is heavy enough, and depending on where you live, I would think one layer should suffice. If you already have the fleece, put baby in carriere and wrap fleece around you both like a shawl, then go for a walk to test how hot/cold you are with one layer.
i wasn't sure from looking at it, could it be that just the part with the two layers is doubled? it appears that if you look through the arnhole that behind it is the same colour as outside (if you understand what I mean
)
I have a monkey pocket that is wool...plenty warm enough for us. They can also be ordered with fleece lining to make it warmer.
I like the monkey pocket as well, but really like the kowalli idea, cause it´s covering me as well, meaning I will get warm, too! I hate it if i wear to much clothing while babywearing, so I tend to get cold, too.
I could wear it in the house :)
