I really need this today, so here goes....

I am so thankful to have such a beautiful, healthy, amazing son with the love of my life. I was remembering a time a few years ago when DH & I thought about splitting because he wasn't sure if he wanted kids and I was ready to move on if he wasn't going to. Now I can't imagine a world without our son in it, and he is so happy he decided to become a dad.

Also, I am so thankful for COFFEE!

Anyone else want to share their gratitude?

I'm greatful we are finally in a spot where DH can sort of help out with the baby. He has to return to the barracks every night to sleep, but the hour and a half he was here tonight and I was able to get things done without feeling like I was neglecting the baby were wondeful.

Stormy, that's great! You gotta give us an update on your new digs.

I am really grateful that I am still EBF at 5 1/2 months and that DS2 is a happy chunky baby with just nursing. It really tore me up with DS1 to fail at EBF and switching to formula at only 3 months, so this time it feels like a real victory that we have not had any of the same issues with my supply or with the latch etc.

I am also very thankful for the wonders of modern technology. I just got to meet me tiny little newborn niece via Skype. Murron was born on Valentines Day by c/s at 36 weeks because my sister had pre-eclampsia and  her BP had gone way out of control. But Murron was able to breath on her own right from the start. She was a tiny 4lb 11oz at birth, but completely perfect. My sister's milk has already dried up twice so she has had to switch to formula, but again another thing to be thankful for is that we have safe formula we can feed when its needed.

Lynann, congrats! And I am also SO thankful that the breastfeeding has been work for us so far. (knock, knock, knock)

cat, I hope your day looked up after your post. How nice to have the perspective to look back and see you guys did the right thing. I am also SO grateful for our healthy little baby girl (knock, knock, knock again).

Y'know what else I'm grateful for? February break. Seriously. Even though I'm right now procrastinating writing report cards, and I've had several hours of school work every day this week including the weekend, it's SO nice to sleep a little longer and be home all day and not have to PUMP! And Nana and Grandpa came over yesterday and DH and I went to the MOVIES!!!! We haven't gone to the movies in two YEARS I think! And DH put his arm around me in the theatre and I started crying. It was so nice to have some time alone together, and doubly so nice to come home and see that DD was safe and happy.

Stormy, so glad that DH is around more now! I don't know how you had been doing it before.

  Sooooo glad you guys got some time for the two of you.  I think this is the perfect age for Anika and Nana to start having dates :)  How fun!  I saw Nancy this past weekend and she said that (cousin) Lindsay was surprised by how much Hooper loves Nancy (who watches him 3 days a week), but I'm not.  Having close family living nearby would be amazing.  I just imagine how much Nell and Maggie love you all even though you live so far away...then I multiply it by 1,000 and it blows my mind.  Seriously.  You are giving her such a gift living so close to them!!!  (Jealous)
