First off, so sorry to almost miss my days!  I've the stomach flu (for the 3rd time this pregnancy...it's getting a little old!!!)

What is your life's ambition? the short version? to glorify God in all that I do, even though I know it's not possible, that's my goal.

What do you want to be remembered for? I'd like to be remembered as a loving wife and mother who used her life in the service of others (my husband and I were just discussing this the other day in the context of my grandmother's funeral)

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?  I'd love to visit India and the Middle East - the idea of their exotic-ness captured me long ago. And I love their food, culture and smells!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? location-wise, I have no idea, but where ever it was, I'd love to have a two-story house on an acre of land in a downtown/city center where the weather is generally mild (I can dream, can't I???)

Where do you live? I live at home...  I live in California, closer to Mexico than San Francisco and along the coast, but I don't want to be more specific than that on a public forum :/

What do you do (day job, profession, SAHM, etc.)?  I am am RN by profession, also a public health nurse and a lactation counselor.  However, I am blessed to be a SAHM, through many sacrifices we have chosen as a family to make.  I have just started co-leading a lactation support group, and I love it (like, drove home giggling with a silly grin on my face)!

How did you select your MDC name? My husband gave it to me - he calls me "Em, the Wife!" like one would refer to a conqueror or hero.

How many children do you have?  I have one son who will be 2 about the time this baby is due to arrive...we are often complimented on our timing, but we had no timing, just caught the first PP egg that made it's way on down after finally night-weaning ds (but I don't share that with the little grannies who think we had such good planning)

I am feeling better today, thanks for asking!  I actually woke up feeling a teensy bit hungry for the first time in days, and I don't even feel nauseated after my tiny bowl of "o" cereal that ds ate half of!

Nice to get to know you better ! I like your MDCname even better now that we know the reason.

 I would love to have an acre in the middle of a city too ! We finally got some space ( almost 2 acres) in as suburban a locaiton as we could find, but I still really miss being able to walk to do all of my errands :( I guess there are things to be grateful for with any living situation :D

I am glad you are feeling better also, Em. My tummy is definitely doing flip flops, but I did just eat one of those "needs no refrigeration" chocolate snack pack puddings - so who knows anymore, eh?

I have always wanted to have some land and a 2 story old house...not in the middle of the city though but - I like the idea of mild weather :)

I also would have totally loved visiting the Middle East and India ----top area to visit!

Where would you go in Iraq? Egypt? India?

Why?

I always wanted to go fabric shopping in India...oh, I get all shivery at the prospect..lol
