Anyone else still sick? I'm completely nauseous about half the time. I have tricks to take the edge of, like Floravital and B vitamins but I still feel like CRAP!
Anyone else? -thecountrymouse
The nausea is certainly better than it was around the holidays but it seems that these days I'm alternating between nausea, serious hunger and heartburn almost constantly. My energy level is better than it was, but I still feel run down. This pregnancy definitely feels a lot more intense than my other two!!
I am so so sorry that you are still feeling sick, countrymouse. My heart goes out to you!
My nausea let up enough to go off the zofran around 20 weeks. I tested it about every week for the last 4 weeks during that time to see if I "'really needed it" and oh boy did I! It was awful and debilitating if I didn't take it and couldn't keep anything down.
I wish I could say differently b/c zofran was my last resort--I tried many other things first.
Do you feel like you might need something as strong? Are you able to eat?
I take a zofran every morning. If I don't then I throw up. I throw up violently and then am sick for the rest of the day. The zofran just keeps me from throwing up, doesn't take away the nausea.
After a 20lb weight loss during the first several months, I can now eat more. I eat big chunks of mozzarella cheese with an apple, that helps.
I am so grateful to be pregnant that I try really hard to not complain. I know it's temporary! -thecountrymouse
I still get sick, especially in the morning if I don't start out slow. I drank a glass of water this morning and threw it up before ten minutes was past. No heartburn though. Not yet, and hopefully not at all. And I totally agree with Becoming. It would wonderful to feel normal for just five minutes.
I know I am joining the conversation late, but at 24 weeks and still having morning sickness (literally in the mornings) my midwife told me to set an alarm while sleeping and eat a few crackers or something in the middle of the night. It has been helping to not let my stomach empty completely.
