How does an anterior placenta affect baby mapping? (spin off of baby mapping thread)

This is my 4th and I am struggling, for the first time, to figure out position.  It is also the first time I have had an anterior placenta.  And I tend to have huge placentas. (At my 2nd birth, by OB actually said aloud..."Holy crap! That is a, um, healthy placenta!" lol)

I thought it was because baby was maybe posterior....so I was not feeling anything like I was used to.  But after reading through the baby mapping thread, I am wondering if it is my placenta.  Does anyone know how it specifically effects what you feel from the outside?

I can't seem to feel the normal butt and firm down one side I did with my others.  What I do feel is most little feet and kicking and moving on my right side. and some smaller, less frequent, few little tweaks on the left, lower quadrant.

Anyone placenta wise?

I'm lost myself, though my MWs are pretty confident I have a butt in the upper left, feet in the upper right (with my placenta) and head down. Not feeling any kicks right where the feet are makes me dubious that this is correct, but I don't know and they've certainly seen it many more times than I.
