Rstv for 2yr old?

What do you guys think of a rstv for a 2yr old? We travel a lot and have several trips with minimal car use. Mostly plane and subway, but I was thinking it might be nice to have a "just in case" seat.

Dd just had her 2yr well checkup and is 30lb and 36" (more torso than legs).

It would be an inappropriate seat for a two year old and would not meet legal requirements in any state, because the manufacturer minimum is 3.   At her size, it would also be very unlikely to fit her well, too.

For a child her size, although ideally I assume she's still rear facing in her primary vehicle, I'd pack and carry a Safety First Go, folds up into a little briefcase style thing.
