I need to sell tons of kids clothes ... WWYD? - Page 2

With that kind of volume, I'd start with a yard sale.  If you don't have enough other "stuff" to fill the sale, do it with friends or neighbors.  Try to have items accessible (not in boxes under tables).  Suggestions would be out on a table or hanging on hangers on a makeshift clothesline.  Most yardsales here hang the nicer items (dresses, coats, etc), and you could replenish the hanging items as things sell.

With the leftovers, I would do a Children's consignment sale, which may mean you have to wait until end of Summer rolls around.  Though sales are different in every area, ours take place at the end of seasons for the following season:  February and March for Spring/Summer items, August/September for the Fall sales.

Good luck!

There is a nice used children's shop in my mom's town and I had tried taking things there twice.  To put it bluntly, they pay for crap.  Recently, I have a batch of brand new, tags still on, never worn jeans and pants (name brand from stores and catalogs, not outlet) stuff that they offered less than a $1 per piece.  I couple of years back, I had baby/toddler stuff in perfect condition (like a LLBean snow suit worn once, looked perfect) matching Gymboree sets, etc. and it was the same thing, they offered next to nothing.  I really wonder how they stock their store.  Either people are desperate for money or just it as a way to generate Starbucks money.  So, I am done with that route.

If you need/want the money, in my area, people go bonkers for kids clothing at yard sales.  Like somone else mentioned, items go at $0.50 to a $1.00.  Maybe $2-$5 for winter gear in good condition.
