I came around yesterday, read the other post and quickly left. Eeek! I glad it's been "resolved" - I fully agree there is a difference between gender and sex and whether or not you AGREE with it, we need to be respectful of one another, as with anything.
As for finding out the sex, I'm not sure. I swore I wasn't going to find out last time, and then caved (we get a 20ish week scan regardless, more for peace of mind than anything - it was our only scan last time). Kids would like to know, and part of me definitely wants to, but dunno.....will probably let that one ride for a bit. I do know that we won't circ if it's a boy (I know this was mentioned in the other thread). Full disclosure - we circ'd our boy, and we completely regret it. Not only do I feel it to be dangerous and unnecessary, his had trouble healing and he needed surgery to repair the damage. Ugh. Never again. It's my huge guilt-mommy moment, but one that I'll happily discuss if it will ever sway anyone on the fence.
I'm 10w today, and yesterday I was feeling SO much better regarding fatigue, but today I'm really tired again. Hubby left for 2 days out of town, so taking it easy with the kiddos.
As for GBS+ - I wasn't the first time, declined even the testing last time, but will do it this time and treat if necessary. I read an article from my mw recently regarding someone who was GBS+, did the hibiclens thing as well as alternative treatment and the baby died. My mw will honor these wishes if that's what I choose, but I'm really rethinking that this time. last time I declined most everything - GBS, blood sugar test, and we don't do shots or Vit K or anything either at birth.
Brambleberry - Oh no!!! Gosh - how old is your house? Any lead pipes? Obviously paint issues depending on age? Soil also a possibility, like you mentioned. Keep us posted!
