Hi girls!

We are still sick...can't seem to rebound out of this sickness since we got norovirus, it just wiped us out completely. :( I've always had such a good immune system and we've never experienced anything like this before...it's so disheartening. Every time we think we're pulling out of it, we are infected with something new...or a "slight cold" turns into horrible, rattling chest congestion. Right now, we've all got a terrible head and sinus thing...everyone running fevers and feeling achy and just generally shitty. We're doing everything we can to come out of it, there is just nothing more to do but wait for warmer weather so we can air the house out and try and get some sun.
 

I've been focusing on replacing my kawaii AIO dipes with a new stash of all cotton fitteds/prefolds and wool covers for this baby and you know how obsessive and all-consuming finding good used dipe deals can become! So I'm keeping busy, but feeling so tired and sicky-sick. I'm finding great deals, though...my stash is nearly complete! Don't worry, there will be pictures for those of you who like that sort of thing! ;)  Yesterday I scored TWO DOZEN of the fluffiest, most beautiful Green Mountain red edged (medium) cotton prefolds plus 7 Bummis Super Whisper Wraps (med) for $25!! Go Craigslist! Can you believe it? I've been focusing on wool for covers...but man, I would have paid the $25 for just the prefolds, you know? So I don't mind picking up some bummis covers, they'll be used for sure. Other than that, I'm finding some awesome deals...an MDC mama sold six beautiful Bella Bottom fitteds to me for $6/dipe...I have made out like a bandit on diaperswappers.com and also etsy with fitteds and awesome wool covers...so I'm nearly there and not breaking the bank...I'm stoked!

I had a MW appointment yesterday and the baby is doing so wonderfully. Great heartbeat, head down and already low in my pelvis...my babies always do that! It's great news because my last two did the same thing and "stuck" that way with no "funny business" until birth...but it's a little bit of a bummer because my last two also lived IN my vagina for the last two months of pregnancy....like, by 33 weeks they were about an inch inside my vagina, it gets hard to pee properly, etc and I'm not looking forward to that. Though, I wouldn't mind a third 90 minute labor, so you know...everything is a tradeoff.

Anyway, I'm just checking in and saying "hey". I hope you're all doing well and feeling fine..lots of hugs from me to you and sweet kisses from my June Bug to yours. <3 <3

We had noro too and it totally wiped out our gut flora. We couldn't eat normally for a week and we all had wicked gas. I gave us all lots of kefir and we got back to normal sooner than most people seem to. Make sure you all are getting enough VItD and get that gut flora built back up, the gut is a HUGE part of our immune system and if that is off you will just keep getting sick. (((((((((((hugs))))))))))

That's the thing that's getting me so down, though! I'm extremely well versed in gut health and wellness....we have an outstanding diet and we're rebuilding our gut with not only food, but really really good probiotics. We take care of our guts as a matter of day to day practice and this is blowing me away right now. I just haven't ever experienced anything like this. We hardly ever get sick and when we do, it's mild and we bounce right back. This time, I feel like we're stuck in a sickness spiral...

We had such a prolonged period of diarrhea and vomiting, followed by not being able to eat normally at all...I think we just really stripped ourselves down. I'm so tired. I just can't even describe how tired I am. If I think, for any length of time, about how truly shitty I feel, it makes me start to cry. I'm so frustrated right now it's not even funny. This has never happened to us. We rarely get sick...this noro just destroyed us. Ugh. :(

Those are GREAT deals you have found!  Lucky you!!  You will be so set for babes.

So the baby can already be head down eh?  I'm guessing thats what my baby has done.  I have to pee every hour and after I pee I already feel the urge to pee.  This is very frustrating and I don't know how i'm going to make it a couple more months. :(  I've had a wonderful pregnancy with no complaints or whining, but i'm really ready to start whining about this.  It's terrible!  I'm up three times a night to pee and at work im in the washroom every hour like clockwork.  Ugh!

Oh my god YES! Me too! The peeing non-stop has really begun! I have to make sure I go before I leave the house and always have to go again when I get where I'm going to...it's terrible! I don't remember that starting this early the last two times!

Hi Broody. Been missing your face around here. So sorry you've been so terribly sick! I am glad to hear you've been trying to stay positive in the face of it though. Building up your diaper stash is super fun. I hope you're able to kick this bug quick. I remember you mentioning being sick quite awhile back, so I kmow it's just gotta be miserable to have it drag on this long. I'll be sending you and your family some healing vibes.

Thanks so much mama, I've been missing you, too....but I have been seeing you some, in all of my diaper researching! You've ALSO been looking into diapering! :) I'm super excited about my stash. It's really almost complete....I can't wait to post pics!

It's true! I've been reading and learning a lot about cloth diapers. I got my first few in the mail, and I'm so super excited about them. It's way different without any real life friends to share about it. Before I ordered these diapers I literally had never even seen one before. Anyone I mention them to IRL is either "They still make those?" or "Ewww." But, they're earth friendly, wallet friendly, and so cute. I just got bitten by the bug, and I'm having a lot of fun with them. I never thought I'd say this, but diapers are exciting!!
