MALE CAT WON'T STOP SRAYING!!!

HELP!! I have a male cat that I really love.  I just moved in with my sister and her baby is allergic to my precious kitty.  And to top it off he is spraying her living room.  Im in a very bad situation- I love my baby, but cannot keep him.  What do I do?? And even worse, he is all black- absolutely beautiful cat, but I'm afraid of someone hurting him.

Does anyone have any advice?

He is spraying because he is a male who has moved into a new environment. He is marking his territory and will keep spraying everytime he walks by spots he sprayed before and smells his scent again. You need to clean everywhere he sprayed with an enzyme cleaner to remove his scent to spot him from spraying more. While I don't know how effective they are, I hear there are products that contain phermones which will prevent him from future spraying (I think it is suppose to make them think there is no reason to spray because the place smells right). 

But you do need to clean everything to get him to stop first.

Please neuter your cat.  Most areas make a "spay and neuter" program available which will provide the surgery at a greatly reduced fee.  Your local vet or shelter will likely be able to talk to you about your options for low-cost surgery.  Your cat will stop spraying, and in addition will have a reduced risk of certain diseases.  Furthermore, if you should need to re-home your dear friend, a spayed male cat will be far more likely to find a loving new friend if he is already neutered.

neuter him if he isnt allready and shut the door to your daughter's room so he cant spray in there. You do need to use an enzyme cleaner to clean it. And you can try feliway to see if it helps.
