Sorry to make you worry!! I will go check out the other page for FB friends!!!

I sent some of you friend requests on fb, but couldn't find everyone, and can't find the group. FB will be much easier for me to connect!

Mamas, I was talking with my auntie today, and I have something truly annoying to report:
My aunt breastfed her daughter for 9 months, back in the ate 80s. She truly wanted to keep nursing but she made her little girl wean because she would only nurse her while well hidden under a blanket, and with summer, it was much too hot. Oh! If only feeding babies weren't stupidly seen as an obscene sex act, more babies could get what they need, and for longer. Society has me sooooo frustrated today.

Oh, you wouldn't believe the day I had. Long story short, I was accidentally arrested. Like, cops rushing out, get out of the car, handcuffed because you're an axe murderer arrested. Oh my god. My DH was so scared he was crying. My dislike of America has been renewed (sorry, Americans).
(BTW, it was totally a mistake, and I'm not actually an axe murderer, or any other kind of murderer.)

One of my dear, dear friends came to visit today! It was so great to see him and have a nice visit. He totally loved on O - didn't want to give him up, just held him and snuggled with him. Totally adorable to watch them. luxlove.gif

While he was here, my friend asked if he could make O his beneficiary for his insurance and pension - his nephew had been, but his brother is an a$$ and they are not speaking, so he needed another beneficiary. I was floored, and honored, and touched. And sad, so sad, because this was a reminder that my friend's health is pretty precarious (he has cancer, has been fighting it for years), so this isn't a hypothetical, might not come into play for many, many years kind of thing. His life could end on the sooner-ish side. mecry.gif I want my friend to be around for a long time, to be an honorary uncle to O that O really has a chance to have a relationship with.

Sometimes life is just not fair.

Big time lurker here! Was never too active in the DDC for fear of jinxing things... but I love reading  all the Dec. baby stuff smile.gif Sent a request for the FB group, if you all don't mind. (Liz L)

Sorry haven't been on here, I can't get on my iPod and it's been soooo nice here we've been outside, or I've been working :( My big guy was 14.8 lbs at his 2 month visit. He's so huge, and so sweet, he's MY bonus baby, but we are def done.

Oh yeah, homeschooling- I would love to, DH would love to, but I'm really looking forward to having some time with the little kids and giving them some of the alone time that I was able to give Ally when she was the only child. Plus, I think I'd do a terrible job.

Hi all

My gripe today (and of the last week) is post-partum hair loss.  It is so gross to see these globs of hair in the shower drain.  Does anyone remember how long it lasts for?  I knew it was coming but I forgot how yucky it is.

I don't know...but, I noticed today how bad mine is shedding too...ugh..

I knew it was coming too, didn't stop me from being shocked by how much I'm losing!

I don't really remember hair loss from my previous pregnancy/birth. My sister gets a bald spot along her hairline after each baby.

I am dealing with occasional zits again though! My skin was peeeerfect throughout my pregnancy and I thought maybe since I'm 35 I had finally stopped breaking out! No such luck apparently.

Yep! Shedding like crazy.  I think it started couple weeks ago?  It seems a little better than my 2 previous pp (or maybe I was just expecting it this time).  It usually starts about 3 months pp and lasts a good few months for me...then tappers off slowly until I get pg again around 13/15 months pp LOL.

Isn't that the truth...everytime I think things are getting back to normal...

I've been losing hair for at least a week.  Blech.

O is starting to grow up!  He goes down for naps on his own, plays with toys on his own...  I've made peace with staying at home (mostly, lol).  All the women in my mom's group are going back to work and looking for daycare.  So glad I don't have to do that.  I'm still nervous leaving him for an hour at the Y.  I haven't been taking advantage of my membership at all.  I've been looking at possibilities for work that would let us avoid childcare.  'Cuz I will have to work some eventually.  There's no way around it.
