Ugh, DD is sick with a cold/fever. What I thought was her first cold last month was nothing compared to this. Last month, she was just a little congested and now I really think that was bunny related. She woke up yesterday morning with a high fever and she felt so crummy that a few minutes after she was up, she was putting her head down on my shoulder which she only does when she is SUPER tired. I gave her some motrin and put her back to bed. I took her in to the pedi because this is her first fever that isn't a vaccine response and even though I'm supposed to treat her like a four-chambered heart, it still made me nervous so I wanted someone else's eyes on her besides mine. The dr said she was probably just getting a virus. She got more congested throughout the day and by last night, she couldn't eat or sleep because she couldn't breathe! It was a long night. I kept suctioning so much crap out of her nose. She was finally able to get some rest this morning so hopefully she's on the mend. I feel bad because she never got sick before her surgery and I gave her the probiotics and vit d religiously. Now that she's not taking any meds, I don't always remember to give it to her. And she's gotten sick. I feel like it's my fault!
MW, what if you used the disposable Flip inserts or G-diaper inserts in your cloth covers? I'm thinking about doing a long weekend to Long Island in May to see my friend that just had a baby and rather than lug dirty dipes through the airports, I was thinking about using the Flip inserts for our travel days.
Baby_Cakes, I think the same thing about some of my friends that get upset with the articles I post. First of all, I think that if you are comfortable with your decision to sleep-train or let your baby CIO (which my one friend claims she is...says it was the best choice for her family, blah, blah), then why get upset? Also, if you see the title of the article is about the dangers of CIO, and it makes you mad to read about it, then why click on the article? I just don't get it. Whatever happened to free will?
DD sleeps in the cotton footed pjs from Carter's. My sister has about 10 sleepers for each size that she keeps passing down to DD so that's what she sleeps in. I keep it cold in my house though, especially at night for sleeping.
MW, I can't believe your DS is pulling up on stuff! That's so awesome! He'll be walking soon...wow! I've been working on DD holding her head up more when she's on her tummy. She can sort of do it if she's propped up on a pillow so I try to do that every day to help build her muscles. She's really good at sitting up now, very stable and loves to do that.
DH went to a town about an hour away yesterday for DSD 12's jazz concert so I looked on CL and found a lady selling 3 medium Bummis covers for $20. So I messaged her and made arrangements for her to meet up with DH. She also had 1 dz Osocozy PFs so I got those for $10. They are soooo big though compared to what I have been using, the yellow-edge GMDs. But those are really too small for DD now. I washed everything last night so I'm excited to get the bigger size on her.
