5 yo gift question

This is one of two gifts I bought for a 5 yo although I thought it might be more fun for a younger, maybe a 4 yo. Dd is 5 yo and I thought it would have occupied her, moving parts around over and over. But, not sure if a 5 yo I don't really know well would like this?

It seems a lot like Mr Potato Head, which I found got the most play when my kids were a bit younger (3-4), but I think would still be fun for a 5yo.  It would depend on the kid though, of course.  My dd at that age was much more into little fiddly things like Lego and Playmobil, beading, etc.
