Crashed and burned yesterday. Impulse purchase online, spent $103. Stopped at Walmart, spent $100. Both I could have very easily done without. Where is the bag over the head smilie, or a hang your head in shame smilie?

Stopped in all the local thrift stores today looking for a stroller.  No stroller, but I did buy baskets for the kids and a cute set of pretty blue juice glasses.  Neither really needed...

Oh man, I wanted a coffee sooooo bad today.  I ran in to Target to check out a new stroller and the Starbucks kiosk was ridiculously tempting.

I think I'm doing well... We are not buying useless junk this month.  I'm not stopping at the gas station for soda (got that at the grocery lol) and we are taking snacks with us.

Easter just isn't going to happen on a grand scale around here.  I got some super clearnace stuff after xmas and DS is getting a puzzle and a game or something (i need to look) and thats about it.

I'm convinced we need to move come 5/1 so I'm all about using what we have and NOT spending money.

We are going to be moving x-country so that will be our only vacation. I want a bit of $$ to stop and see a few things along the way.

I really need the rest of this month to be No Spend.  We've already slowed our debt payoff progression b/c of some choices this month, don't want it slowing down anymore.  Time to refocus.

Cripes, what a month.  My no-spend challenge is going really well, but only because we have no spare cash after all of our other budgeted expenses.   Looking over the past two weeks of our spending is like watching a sucking vortex of money leaking from my account.  We paid the taxes ($$$$), ds broke his ankle, and dd just got new glasses.  Whoooosh...there went all the money.

There has been some minimal un-budgted spending that I have listed here, but my real problem right now is that buying the basics zaps our account of so much cash.  And we make a decent income.  I don't know how other families are doing it.   This headscratch.gif  and some of this greensad.gif.

A friend invited me out for lunch on Monday and I just don't know how to tell her that I simply don't have the cash on hand right now.  I started this month knowing that I would need to make some tough choices and here they are.  irked.gif

3/14 - Another day, another fast food craving of the husband.  $16 at Wendy's.  Sigh.  That's like $60 so far of fast food this month.  Not cool.  I don't even want to mention DH's $11 a pack a day cigarette habit...  Gah.  He's been "quitting" for like six years!!!

3/15 - Spent $15 going to the dump to get rid of all our moving stuff.  But it was a bunch of stuff and it would have cost $100 to have it hauled off.  So I feel it was a great bargain.  The lady there tried to get me to sign up for their regular garbage collection service at "only" $25 a month - but I didn't see the point because I can just drop it off myself for so much cheaper.  And it forces us to cut down on what throw out if we know the magic garbage truck isn't going to haul it off to happy nowhere land.
