Morning, noon and night sickness at this end. I try all sorts of things - protein, carbs - doesn't seem to matter but it has its own life that waves up and down with intensity.
I hear what you all are saying! I can't wait for this to be over. But I remember hearing a friend say how she was nauseous throughout all of her 3 pregnancies - please not me!
I am another one who can't go into the kitchen without gagging. I dare not open the fridge. Food shopping grosses me out - meat and fish departments are horrid. vegetables which I normally love scare me.
What foods are people coping with? Which do you totally run from?
Here's my weirdo list that most likely will change suddenly.
Tolerable:
toast with a small bit of cheese and ripe avocado (seems to work as a breakfast)
clementines, oranges (but now sort of going off citrus)
yougurt (plain with maple syrup, lemon, black cherry)
stir fried steak strips (never used to eat beef before pregnant)
toast with jam
Scrambled eggs with salt and pepper
Apples
(very limited as you see)
Gag-a-rino:
Any fish (ate so much healty fish before pregnant but now it sends me to gagville)
Chicken
Tea, coffee
Anything with mint in it - yuck!
and everything else!
Does anyone get sick (vomit) after they brush their teeth - I am always so afraid to brush my teeth as it induces dry heaves and the other day, er uh....the sick thing...
Does anyone else have a constant strange metallic taste in your mouth?
Does any one have any relief tricks? I tried the Sea Band wrist bands but they don't really seem to matter. Preggie Pop candy helps a great deal but I'm getting sick of the sweet-sour taste.
My husband is cooking more, which really means we eat out more....it's very expensive dealing with morning, noon, night sickness :-o
Good luck everyone - as we all are soon to move in the 2nd trimester, I hope we all start posting about how much we are back to enjoying food and life again!
all the best to everyone!
