We are glad you found this thread. We are a group of Mamas trying to get back in shape postpartum. We have varying amounts of weight to lose and and are trying a variety of strategies to do so. Welcome.

Does anyone want to pick up this thread in April or May? My baby weaned a couple weeks ago and will turn 2 in May. I am feeling like I need to let go of the postpartum status.

I will join again. I don't know what I weigh--new scale in the mail. But I'm rocking the fitness! Just did level 3 of the 30 day shred.

Argh, my weight isn't changing at all. However, I have started exercising again, which is great! I had a small surgery on my belly last week, which makes running pretty uncomfortable (although I ran a little over 1 1/2 miles today anyhow), but I have been walking lots and just getting myself back into the habit of moving!

 

I have started signing up for races for this year. I have a trail run in May, Warrior Dash in July, and marathon in September. I might add in a few more, but having races as goals to work towards helps me stay motivated. I would love to hear what other people are using as their motivation!

My motivation is seeing myself in the mirror. Also my dh lost a lot of weight and I would like to be thin with him.

Stopping by this morning to announce that I am now back in the 180's! I weighed 188lbs when I got pregnant, and this morning I weighed 189.2lbs! I am so beyond excited! I am one pound away from my pre pregnancy weight! I am 19lbs away from my weightloss goal of 170lbs! So my starting weight was 208lbs so I have lost 19 lbs. Can you update my stats please!

Mylilmonkeys up top it says you lost 46lbs. Is that right? How did you lose that much weight and I didn't even realize it? I think we started at the same weight.

I discovered I had some severe food intolerances, and while working on correcting those, the weight kinda fell off.  It hasn't been the most fun process, but it sure has been effective.  I'm doing GAPS now, which is no grain, no starch, very restrictive on the initial phases, but seems to be helping me work through my dietary issues.  I gained a couple pounds back when I reintroduced fruit and honey a couple weeks ago, but I've stopped binging and am now officially at 150.  I need to work on toning and exercise, but with the twins and having to cook everything from scratch, I don't really find much time in the day to exercise.

yeah I remember you talking about your food allergies and changing your diet. I just didn't realize you had lost so much weight. Good for you, that's awesome. I cut out bread and rice and beans and grains and anything with sugar. Except that I cheat sometimes with cadbury easter candy. yeah so mainly meat and veggies.

That's awesome wish I was 144. I'm happy to say that I have gotten down to what I weighed when I got pregnant. Finally! Only took me 14 months. (Sarcasm) Too bad my pre pregnancy weight is 188lbs. At least thats proof that fat chicks can get laid despite what society feeds us.

Wanted to post that I am now down to 179!  I haven't seen this number in a couple of years and I am so excited.  I'm watching my carb intake now and I am really hoping to get pass 173 soon.
