I don't know if this is the right spot for this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Our son was born 5 weeks early and I spent about 6 weeks exclusively pumping before he took to the breast. After the PP bleeding subsided, I noticed quite a bit of fertile cervical fluid and was almost sure I'd have AF. We were counting on lacto amenorrhea for child spacing so I was pretty disappointed. Now that I've had preterm labor, I'm guessing I will need to start charting again to avoid getting pregnant too soon since that increases risk for the next pregnancy. I'm confused though at this point because now that he is being fed on cue (plus my acting as a human pacifier), I'm not seeing any cervical changes (dry as a bone!). Have any exclusive pumpers gone through this? Did exclusively pumping stop AF or did you get it soon PP? I'm terrified of getting pregnant too soon, not interested in using any kind of chemical birth control, and we are sick of using condoms. Help? Or is there a better place to post this?
