I need a little reassurance. I have been feeling awful basically since I got my BFP. The Xtreme tiredness actually started even before that. It's similar to what I experienced with DS, just two weeks earlier and maybe 25-30% more. Starting over the weekend (so 7 1/2 weeks) I started feeling marginally better. I am still feeling very tired and nauseous, just a little less so. I can do small tasks around the house (though I have to rest after), and in the evenings I get a bit of an appetite back. For the past 2 weeks i have barely been able to list my head! I had an u/s on Mon. and everything looked great. In fact my specialist kicked me out to the OB. But I am still really worried that it is not a good thing. At 10 weeks I'd be less worried, but 8? I have learned to manage better by eating something small constantly and lying down most of the day (not so easy with DS, but I really have to), so that could be it. What do you guys think? What were your experiences?

I wouldn't count on morning sickness lifting until you at least get to the second trimester, which is when the placenta(s) start doing the work of churning out hormones so your body doesn't have to as much. I'm afraid you still have a few weeks to go. It's a *good* thing, even if it doesn't feel like it.
Oh, I was reading it as the opposite! :) (I have double the pregnancy brain, sorry!) I wouldn't be too concerned as long as you're sort of feeling like garbage. This pregnancy is my third and it's seriously the easiest one I've had. I was much, much more tired when I was pregnant with my second baby.
With a couple of my pregnancies, severe nausea could be linked to a particular dietary item. One was milk, one was peanut butter. When these items were removed from my diet, I went from intolerable nausea to typical morning sickness. It didn't disappear altogether, but definitely a lessening of symptoms. Is it possible you are having trouble with a food item that you have removed from your diet a few days before feeling a bit better? It usually took me up to three days to get over a food intolerance after removing it.
I lived with my head in a toilet (morning, afternoon, evening) most of the time during the first trimester of my singleton pregnancy. (I even had habitual places to vomit on the way to work/grocery store/ect...had it all mapped out, literally).
I did not experience a single day of morning sickness with my twins. Ever. I was tired, felt like I'd been run over by a truck with tiredness, but I never experienced any nausea that a couple of saltines couldn't cure.
I honestly would not get hung up on morning sickness.

I like your "garbage" barometer, that has been really helpful! As long as I feel like garbage, and I definitely do, I'm not going to worry. Spring Lily, you're definitely right, I have been hit with so many unusual complications in the past few years I'm probably over-anxious. mylilmonkeys, I am trying to figure that out...I think it might be related to lack of enough protein in my case, maybe? I cannot stand to look at eggs, fish, or meat but I feel better on days that I eat some. And it is very reassuring to hear about mamas who had no m/s at all with twins. Although, Tigerchild, whoa does that sound awful about your first time! Ugh vomit-ready route to the supermarket!
i get on this particular soap box often and will happily get on it again. leave one on your bestride, drink it before you do anything in the morning, heck drink it before you even sit up. drink one if you get up in the middle of the night to pee.
as pathetically like a commercial as it sounds, these drinks that i randomly discovered in my moms favorite health food store one day when newly preggo have changed my life. they have such good stuff in them and are so good for a person like me that is bad at eating on even intervals like i know i should. and when breastfeeding nonstop in the early days when getting out of bed with newborn twins was sometimes asking a bit too much, i kept a stack of them on my bedside and thankfully they taste great at room temp. now if i could just get stock in the company for all the ladies i send their way!
