Thank you for your patience with me...the worst thread keeper ever.  I finally put up the new April thread only 9 days late.

Or I didn't put up the thread because MDC won't let me start a new thread irked.gif

I will keep trying...

Arrgh! So frustrating. Also FWIW I think you are an excellent thread keeper and appreciate that you're willing to do it. orngbiggrin.gif

Hey everybody!  We opened up the ^%$^^ envelope!

If you have a couple of minutes, you can see the big reveal here.  I think my son's reaction is pretty funny, myself.

Alright guys, I'm tired of trying to start a new thread.  I sent an e-mail to admin but got no response.  I'm just changing the title of the thread to March/April and we'll try again next month.

Loved the video Belia and congrats!!  AndtheStars - this thread is perfectly comfy for us in April, thanks for trying!

I am approaching 37 weeks.. and I couldn't be happier.  I am SO ready for this baby to come out and am hoping that he decides to come a bit early.  I know the statistics say that since this is my first one he will probably be late but I am a rule-breaker in general so let's see if I can break this rule!!! orngtongue.gif

The sun is starting to shine here in lil ol Oregon, which is awesome and makes me happy. I got some summery/springy maternity clothes and I feel a little better about being pregnant when I get to wear these hehe.  My belly is exploding now and I can definitely feel it in my back hardcore... and I have been feeling some bh contractions very rarely, but I never did before so that's interesting.  I have to sit down and relax to make them go away, they are pretty painful unless I do relax.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

We fell to the second page so I decided to bump us up a bit.  I'm hoping that everyone is quiet because they are enjoying their pregnancy.  I am still measuring 6 weeks ahead so still a little apprehensive about the size of this child.  Time seems to be dragggging along.  I should be enjoying these last few weeks with DH and DS as our comfortable little family of 3 but the fatigue and hip/back pain is making me want the baby out!  That's about it for me.  Anyone else around?

Andthestars, I can't believe you're almost done! I remember you getting your BFP and it seems like it was just the other day. Then again, I can't believe I'm almost at the half way mark either!

Everything's going pretty well here. As long as I'm careful not to get hungry the nausea is finally mostly gone, and other than a few fun 2nd trimester symptoms like migraines and insomnia, I'm generally feeling good. We  had fantastic weather last weekend and it was great to get outside for awhile, do some yardwork, and let the toddler wear off some energy. Unfortunately we've had a couple crappy days lately and there was actually snow on the ground this morning so I guess we still have a ways to go before it's actually summer.

My DH has been out of town all week on an unexpected work trip, so we had to reschedule our US to next week. Even though we don't plan to find out the sex, I'm really looking forward to seeing the baby (and making sure there's only 1!) I'm pretty sure I'm measuring about 3 weeks ahead based on where my fundus is, but it's probably just a matter of being short and carrying this baby high. I'm feeling lots of movement all over the place so I'm pretty sure this little one has lots of room to move around.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

I'm doing well! 29 weeks here and feeling good. Apparently I passed my GD test because the doc never called me. I can't really do brisk walks anymore because it makes my pelvis hurt too much, but I can still do gym-type stuff so I've been trying to do that. Otherwise just working, doing some spring cleaning and decluttering (probably not enough, but some), and being lazy while I still can.

Otherwise I've still been very lucky symptom-wise. I finally started feeling some good strong movement about a month ago, so that has been really nice.

I have a new nephew, born last Thursday! He has a problem with his bowel, which they knew about in advance. It required surgery and we were all really worried about him. Thank goodness, he seems to be doing really well at the moment. We went to visit him last night and he looked great, no more tubes other than the IV and he looked just like a "normal" baby. I hope he continues to improve. I wish he could be at home with my brother and SIL.

Hi everybody-

Thanks for celebrating the opening of the envelope with us!  I know I'm TOTALLY biased but I thought DS was completely adorable, myself.  I couldn't have planned that reaction if I tried.

So, yes!  Another boy!  DH didn't really care one way or another, but I am happy.

I've spent the past 2 weeks trying to clear out the guest room so that Colin can move over there and I can get the nursery ready for a new LO.  It's been slow going, though.  The guest room has been our catch-all, and even though it looked pretty sparse there was stuff hiding everywhere.

And I just turned 27 weeks, and have just now had to break down and get out the maternity clothes.  OMG they are SOOOOO COMFORTABLE!  What the heck was I waiting so long for?!?!?!?!?

Wondering if janellody is  snuggling a new LO yet?!?!?

I was wondering about janellody too! I hope she is doing great and will post lots and lots of baby pictures here... orngbiggrin.gif

Don't think I remembered to update this thread or not. Anyways, I had my DD on April 20th at 4:02pm. After 2 1/2 days of labor and no progression we went in for a csection. Turns out DD was 8lbs 14oz, 20 1/2 in long and just too big for my pelvis. She refused to descend. I am grateful to have her here though and she is a big, healthy baby with an appetite I can't keep up with. Here are some pictures of Cayleigh Teagan!

joy.gif CONGRATS!!!

AFM: Life is c.r.a.z.y right now. Conner will be 6 months old on Tuesday!!! CRAZY! He's sitting up on his own now, popping up on his knees, and he has a TOOTH! =) My newborn is a baby now. It's surreal. I also don't breastfeed anymore. I had to go on antibiotics for a few days that weren't BFing friendly, and in those short 72 hours, I dried up. Seriously.  No pain, no engorgement, no nothing. The last time he ate from the breast was Easter Sunday. I'm a little bummed about it, but at the same time... I made it over 5 months with my first child with no support... And with being gone up to 15 hours a day between school and work. I'm pretty damn proud of myself. I hope next time we have a baby, we're in a place financially that I can take an entire year off of work so I don't have to worry about pumping or anything. So stressful. Also, DH and I bought a house. =D No more 3rd floor apartment! YAY! We should get keys on May 21st.

Wow, 6 months! I am so impressed that you breastfed so successfully with your crazy schedule. Gives me hope that I can do it too (although my schedule isn't so crazy, but the whole pumping thing is kind of daunting and I keep worrying that it won't work.) Congratulations on your house too! That will be great for all of you.

Congrats belacsmage!!  How exciting!!

I am still here.. waiting... although at my doctor appointment on Thursday I found out I am 1cm dilated, so at least that is some progress!!  I have another appointment Thursday, let's hope for more progress!! :)  I think I may have had some pre-labor contractions last night... a couple times.  Not sure though, it's hard when you haven't experienced them before to know for sure but I felt some tightening.  Anyways, still waiting!

belacmsage, CUTE!!!! Congrats on Cayleigh's birth.  That first picture looks like she's saying "BOOOOOB".  I love it!

CDsMom, you should be proud of yourself for BF as long as you did.  Major congrats on the house purchase.  Have you guys been working towards it for awhile or did all the stars align and it came together all at once?  Ahhh, the mythical year off work...

Carlin, awww, thanks for remembering.  It seems like a lifetime ago that we were TTC.  I'm glad to hear that your nausea is manageable.  Outside time is so key for keeping a toddler on an even keel.  Inside days wreak havoc on our sleep schedules.

scowgirl, yay for no GD!  I hear you on the pelvis/hip pain.  I get mad at my body for not cooperating but then I have to stop and remember that its just not used to carrying around an extra 40 lbs.

janellody,  yay for 1 cm!  You're 10% there!  Really, truly don't rush this.  Enjoy these last 10ish days.  Go to a movie.  Eat an ice cream sundae.  Watch TV in peace and silence.  Sleep!  These are all things that I wish I would have done every single day in the last week before the birth of DS.  I promise you can remind me of these same things in 4 weeks.

belia, you made it until 27 weeks with no maternity clothes?!!?!!  Holy fitness!  My poor excuses for ab muscles gave up at 9 weeks, pooched me out, and forced me into maternity pants.  I really wish that I could wear maternity clothes all the time.  They are the most comfortable things on the planet.  Has Colin adjusted to the boy idea yet?

AFM, we have our meeting with our doula tonight which I am excited about and we got down the newborn clothes from the attic this weekend.  Now we just have to sort and re-wash.
