PHOTO THREAD. Babies first picture at birth.

I just LOVE hearing and reading women's birth stories and seeing birth pics. Especially the babies first pic. I would love to start a thread where you could view them. I will start with my son Oceans first pic. He was born at an incredible birthing center in Topeka Kansas after 7 1/2 hours of labor. He is my 4th child. He was also born after 42 weeks. :) Please feel free to add some info about your birth! Can't wait to see all of these great baby pics!!

I actually think this is a great idea.  Here's my twin girls within an hour after birth (UC at home).

Jova: 4 lbs, 2 oz., 17 inches long

Sunny: 5 lbs, 6 oz., 18 inches long

The first is when they did a quick examination to see if she had aspirated any meconium.  The second was within a few seconds of placing her on my chest, and the third was after we had nursed a little bit and she was wide awake.  I'm glad to have the opportunity to share, I haven't looked at these photos for a while.

Julia Penelope.  My 4th baby and first homebirth. 10#, 4 ounces.  I had to deliver on hands and knees so my booty was cropped out of the right side of this pic.  Right after the mw handed her to me through my legs and I sat back up on the birth stool.

 The first photo is my eldest daughter Emily born in the water, the second photo is my second daughter Penelope born via emergency c/s, and the last photo is my son Henry a few hours after birth, nursing, born via vbac at home

These are great photos!!!  Beautiful Mamas with beautiful babies!! Thank you so much for sharing!! Can't wait to see more.

The first is my daughter, who will be turning 2 next week. She didn't cry at all. The second is right after my son was born (one month old). I delivered on hands and knees, and my cousin captured this awesome pic of me turning around and the midwife bringing him up to me. I also love my mom's face in the background. She was crying. The third is also my son, a couple minutes after he was born. He was born hollering:)
