Just for curiosities sake . . . was your pregnancy planned or a surprise?

Mine is a total surprise! I was CTA and using withdrawal during fertile time. We DTD once during the fertile time (actually only once the whole cycle) and he was positive that he withdrew in time but I guess he didn't!

We were trying. No charting or temping, just a lot of sex during the entire potentially fertile window smile.gif

Total surprise here... My BF was planning on moving in next year... we've been together for over a year but we were taking it slow for the sake of my kids. This has sped things up a bit! :)

Can there be an in-between answer? winky.gif

We don't use birth control, not even NFP (at least we haven't yet), and we desperately wanted another baby, so I definitely wouldn't call this baby unplanned. However, after nearly two years of TTC we had pretty much given up and weren't really 'trying' very hard. So I would also have to say it's a surprise! Hmm, how to vote....

Definitely a surprise! But a very welcome one.

A surprise that we are still coming to terms with. I am over-joyed, DH is working on it, lol.

Planned for us. We started trying in January but our LO was sick at the crucial time and needed one of us with her all the time to sleep. Fortunately she was fine in February winky.gif  I used an OPK but obviously misinterpreted the results and had symptoms of ovulation about 6 days later. That time we got it right and 10 days later we had a positive pregnancy test.

Most definitely planned!!! We wanted to start trying in march but I convinced dh it would most likely take a few cycles so we tried in feb and got pregnant right away!!!! Meant to be I suppose!!!!

Definitely a surprise, a very unexpected one. We were both on the fence about having a third, and because of my LPD we'd always had to actively TTC, we never thought it would happen. I was just saying to DH a couple of months ago that it would be nice to just let things "happen", but because that seemed impossible, I'd just reached the point of being good with 2.

We were actively TTA using FAM, and with an 8 day LP, though we ended up with an O-6 on my chart, I thought there was no way. I guess switching to paleo eating healed my LPD. It's definitely a roller coaster, but once I let it sink in, I'll be thrilled.

Very planned, first cycle of trying. The pregnancy I lost was a total surprise but made me realize I really wanted another LO. So this one we actively tried for.

Surprise. We were CTA. Now here's the part I'm still trying to figure out: either I conceived from DTD 4 days before O, or from withdrawal 1 day before O. Withdrawal hasn't failed us in 16 years, so I am truly at a loss here.headscratch.gif

Total and utter surprise!!!

Apparently a side effect of having your thyroid back in balance is that it will also change your cycle. So when I normally ovulate on CD18-19, I thought nothing of having sex on CD 10. Turns out I ovulated very early in my cycle but still, 4-5 days after I had sex. My DH has super sperm.
My youngest is 9 1/2. And we were not planning any more kids.

We were "not not trying." I definitely didn't think it would happen so fast (my third cycle after going off birth control). So it was sort of a surprise, sort of planned! :)

Our friends had been using w/d for 10 years, and surprise, they got a new baby a few months back. 4 days before O should be a girl, 1 day before should be a boy... that may be as close as you get to an answer ;)

This was us - CTA using FAM with a LPD. DTD on CD9, and an egg 6 (possibly even 7) days later, and after seven years of charting, suddenly my 8 day LP is no longer an LPD. Maybe this time we'll get our girl, seeing as the two boys were both conceived from DTD 3 days before ovulation.

This was a very happy surprise for us.  We wanted another baby, but for us, we couldn't justify actively trying.  I've had a lot of miscarriages, and my oldest is special needs with very high needs, so she requires a LOT of our time and attention.  We have another beautiful girl too, a 6yo, and we have been trying to give them each a balance of us, which isn't easy given our situation.  We're also making about a third of what we were about 18 mos ago, so its not a great time financially... but - baby decided differently, and we're ok with that. :)

Quite a surprise for us! We were CTA and using condoms when I was fertile. Had sex on Day 14, which ended up being my ovulation day (which is usually not until Day 18 or 19). Didn't use a condom for all of two seconds and then I made him put one on. Not sure if it was per-ejaculate sperm leaking out, or a condom failure. Ether way, with the timing, I think it's a boy! We shall see joy.gif

We gave ourselves 3 months before we hung up the baby making business forever...got pg the first month! Our third was a surprise, but really, I was just charting poorly.
