Organic Formula?

Hi.  FTM here.  My breast milk never fully came in.  We therefore must supplement with formula.  (We've already seen lactation consultant, I take copious amounts of fenugreek and I eat lots of oatmeal.  My breasts simply aren't cooperating with more than 5 oz/day.)

That said - are there any solid, reputable organic formulas out there?  I'm concerned about the arsenic - organic wheat syrup story that came out a few weeks ago.  Right now we are feeding her regular Similac.  I know that there is an organic Similac, but I understand that is loaded with fructose.

Any advice?  Thanks in advance!

I'm using Baby's Only Organic.

Has the LC mentioned the possibility of IGT/hypoplasia? It seems that alot of LCs are not informed about IGT.

I sympathize, we had to feed DD formula also due to a very low milk supply and her losing rather than gaining weight. greensad.gif  It all worked out in the end but it sure was stressful during the process so I'll send you some virtual hugs to start with!

In my research I found numerous issues with the organic formulas, the fructose, some are labelled as "toddler formulas" rather than infant ones, and I just wasn't really comfortable with any of them.  There seemed to be risks and not really many benefits in my opinion.  We went with a non-organic option (the Costco "Kirkland" brand), and it has really agreed with DDs tummy.
