I even took my temp again a second time (after I'd gotten up to input this morning's temp, laid back down, and gotten back up) and it was STILL exactly the same as it was when I'd first taken it at like 5:00-something.
Crazy cycle.

8dpo. Spotting once- brown. Slight drop
9 dpo spotting once brown. BFN. High temp
10 dpo. BFN. Slight drop. Still high tho.
Should I just wait and test? Have I given it enough time to snuggle on down if someone is there??
I would normally have my period by now.. And temps are still so high...

Hi all! Good luck with your 2WWs.... mine *just* started (like, today). Hoping for a BFP that sticks around, after 2 chemicals.... I test on the 19th. Nothing for Easter - just hanging out with DH and having some pasta. Maybe watch some Freaks and Geeks :)
Nattery - just a belated response to your post - I have had two chemical pregnancies in the past 5 months (we just started TTC in November - got pregnant that first cycle and then 'lost" it within days of the first BFP). For awhile I was mad at myself for testing so early, but the 2nd time I had a CP I found out because I tested early, and now I've been able to get some bloodwork done and stuff which I'm hoping will reveal something that will prevent another CP. So if I hadn't tested on the early side I wouldn't have known about the CP and thus would have just been thinking I couldn't get pregnant, instead of these being CPs, which might be something I can prevent. Does that make sense?

Question for everyone here: In retrospect, if you could pick your ideal time to test, what would you recommend? Some people seem to regret testing constantly, others seem to feel like it has brought them a lot of peace. I am on my first round of TTC and haven't really decided when I'm going to test... though I suspect I will test at times I logically know will produce maybe little or no answer!
For Easter, I'm running a big easter hunt for my kids (school kids that is, none of my own yet!) at the private school I work at. It's going to be interesting since they are from cultures all over the world and aren't sure what to make of Easter yet! And then I am going to enjoy the spring weather here in China and relax my dislocated knee injury (ouch!)
Oh and I'm 6 dpo and usually expect Af in 8 days!

I'm 8 DPO now. I feel about 0.000001% hopeful this month, which is better than usual. LOL. My temps look a little different than before (steadily climbing instead of up and down, up and down), but I guess I can't compare it much to temps from a year ago, huh? I thought I might have felt ever-so-slightly cramp this morning, but it could have been my imagination. I know I've been super exhausted the last couple of days, but for some reason I ALWAYS get tired the week before AF. I don't have sore boobs, which was a big sign when I was pregnant with DD, however they weren't sore until AF was due or shortly thereafter I think. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for temps to keep climbing, but I am trying my damnedest not to get obsessed like I usually do. I am just SOOO tired of waiting for another child. Over a year TTC sucks even more than 9 months to get pregnant with DD did. :(
So besides my little cheat with the expired test I've been patient. I told myself I'd wait till Thursday if AF hasn't shown by then. Part of the reason why I tested so early, even though I knew nothing would show, is that a major sign of my usual cycle is missing! My cycle lengths are very unpredictable but I can always tell the week before AF because my BBs get sooo heavy. This time I could feel them starting to want to get heavy but then the next day, 1 DPO, they went down again and have been down since then...
Also woke up with slight cramps this morning. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good thing I'm on vacation and staying busy as a tourist all day long!
Can't wait to read all your updates!
good luck everyone with your potential BFPs! Thank you for the advice HadleyMonroe... I never thought of it that way before. It would be good information to have!
I am now at 9 dpo (going on 10 in a few hours!). Still feeling relatively 'chill' about it all.. but definitely getting more and more away that af or ? is just around the corner.
Last two days I've gotten random bouts of 'car sick' feeling. Not as though I am going to actually throw up but a fluttery, car sickness (well at least that's how I experience car sickness). I was going to hold off testing until 14 dpo but now I'm playing with the idea of testing first thing tomorrow morning. I mean my symptoms could be due to the fact that i just moved apartments, am tired, dealing with unpacking and eating more Chinese street food than I should but I've lived in China for going on two years now and never have felt like this before :P I will post results in the morning if I work up the nerve to test!
Thanks for all the advice and input everyone!
I love reading all these posts, makes me feel like I'm not alone in this mess of TTCing!
I think I'm officially out of the 2WW for this cycle (huge temp drop this AM and my tinted CM turned into my regular pre-AF spotting). BOOOO. It was my first month charting and I am really glad I did it because I know now that cycle looks pretty normal and that I'm sure I am ovulating. I was also scared that my LP was too short, but after temping, its not! going on 14 days today and I'm pretty sure AF will come with full force tomorrow or soon after.
As for this next cycle.....I'm going to try a few new things. Since I O earlier than I thought I would and compared to most, I think right after AF stops, I'll BD everyday, especially when I have fertile CM until it dries up and after I see O happen. I haven't noticed any EWCM and I'm wondering if being on the BCP for 5 years has made me lose this? Anyone else not have EWCM after using BCP? I know without a doubt that I've had it as a teen and before I got on BCP but since being off of it, I can't say that I've remembered seeing it (BUT I didn't know what it was till last month!). Ughh...I really wish I didn't use BCP's.
Does anyone recommend pre-seed for more than just lube? I have some, but I haven't been using the applicators, just as regular lube. I'm thinking I will use the applicators now....getting desperate!
<a href="http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3b78a9/">My Ovulation Chart</a>
I too had EWCM as a young 'un (in college) and then not so much when I was ttc 8 years later. I think that the amount of EWCM diminishes with age so maybe it is due or partly due to time lapsed rather than due to HBC--I used a copper IUD from April 2008-June 2010 before starting ttc in July 2010, so I think I had enough of a washout period with the hbc. NOT that I am trying to say you're "old". (I'm a year older than you.)

Hey nattery,
Thanks for mentioning that. I keep thinking I have all these unusual symptoms and then feeling like maybe it's wishful thinking, but one of them was getting awful motion sickness on the plane ride... It wasn't pretty. Then I think maybe being on vacation and out of my routine is causing these differences...

Hey Mummas,
How are all doing?
A few of you seem to have some good looking symptoms :) Nattery!
Oh I am sorry your not feeling so good... It s never over until the fat lady sings (or AF shows) FirstTimeTTC
Dakipode How many DPO are you?? :) Could be some promising symptoms, esp the travel sickness feeling???
OK... I am late... 2 or 3 days late... Sore Boobs.... 2 days of spotting on 8dpo and 9dpo.... FREQUENT URINATION....
I tested a few days ago and yesterday BFNs, then Hubby bought an early test for me to use... I think I am going to use it tomorrow- 12dpo... I just wonder if its too early (I have a short LP)...
Thoughts??
Good luck Mummas, I am thinking of you all
Darkipode + Travelmumma - sounds like you both have some promising symptoms.
I didn't test this morning so no BFP / BFN to report yet. I was up all night with an upset stomach (boo) and had to rush out the door to work so didn't temp or take a test. Playing with the idea tonight. My bf wants to hold off until I'm really late but I would like to pinpoint this "car sick" feeling that keeps hitting me on and off for 2 days now (and getting stronger everyday).
I am noticing with my chart that my lp temps are slightly higher than usual. Trying not to read into that too much.
Also today I keep burpping and feel gassy... which might just coincide with whatever kept me and my stomach up last night but I'm never burpy so who knows. Trying not to read into symptoms (I'm actually really proud of myself!) but taking note of things out of the ordinary to reflect on it once I know how it all turns out. I've also noticed my Cm is different than usual. Usually after I O I dry up for awhile and get creamy cm right before af. This time I had a dry up but creamy cm quickly returned and has been consistent ever since. Car sick feeling still going strong! I've only eaten mint tea and fruit since last night, it's all I wan to eat.

Just took a test at 2 in the afternoon!!! Went out, made a cup of tea, came back to check it and almost fainted!
Wrote "congrats daddy" in eye liner on my belly and went and asked DH if he could check this "rash" forme.. Then I lifted up my shirt!!!
Needless to say there was a lot of crying, jumping and screaming that followed (all in a good way of course lol)
So there will be a very extra special Christmas present here this year

Thank you Stegenrae!!
I got impatient hahaha!!
...... Does this mean (hoping that all goes well for the two of us) that we will both be expecting Christmas gifts?
Yippee Hooray TravelMumma! So happy for you! So excited!
It's making me antsy to test despite only being 10 dpo (part of me feels like I mines well use that spare test to get it out of the house and then really wait until dpo 14 to buy another one)
