At this rate it will take me years to loose the weightgreensad.gif

I am trying to keep my carb intake low (I have PCOS).  But as a result I haven't been eating very well...too much highly processed fake meat products (we are vegetarian).  They are easy, low carb and high protein but not very good for me.   I've also had a couple of binges redface.gif

I haven't been exercising enough either because my lower back has been bothering me.  But if I am honest with myself, there is something I can do...even if it is just walking the dog.

It's just such an overwhelming amount of weight...I cannot believe I have gained 120 pounds.

edited to add...sorry for the whiny sounding post; I just needed to get it out in order to start another week.

(((Hugs))). I have more than 100 pounds to lose, too. We can do this. Slow and steady wins the race!

Trekkingrl - thinking of you. Hoping you can push past this frustrating place.

Milk -- Hurray for breaking through to the 70s! That feels great, doesn't it?

I felt very bloaty this morning and was afraid to get on the scale, but I am at 266 -- a four pound loss this week! Feeling especially good about that since I am working on being more flexible with myself -- allowing an occasional treat. I feel like this would be a more viable way to eat forever.

Good luck to everyone!

Does anyone else tend to weigh in at their heaviest on Mondays?  I'm very "good" during the week - daily workouts, cook our meals, salads for lunch, smoothies for breakfast and then I BLOW it every weekend.  That's what I need to change.  No more excuses.  Weighing in on Mondays here might actually be the push I need to not go off track so much on the weekends.

198.6 - only 0.2 loss this week, but I'll take it. :)

Go RED!

147.8 sorry guys. Up almost a pound. I am pretty sure it had to do with the pizza and rum I had saturday night and then no real exercise aside from walking a bit over the weekend.

Kids are back in school this week so going to try and do some different exercise and lose that (and hopefully more) this week!

I'm back to add an answer to those of you that mentioned you often crave sweets after exercising.

When I was pregnant with my DD my midwife told me that almost always when you crave sugar, it's because you are thirsty! That has really stuck with me, and except for times when I'm emotionally eating Cadbury Eggs, I grab a glass of water when that urge hits.

It works!

Another pretty good week. I started the week at 204 and weighed in this morning at 202.

Inching my way towards the 100s. I keep thinking about a "reward" for making it under the 200lb mark. One thing I asked my husband for (30+ pounds ago) was to go jogging with me. Over 200lbs I really don't want to run around my neighborhood so having lost the weight I really want some moral support to start jogging.

And then there is clothing. I always like clothing as my body changes!

1/1/2011 I weighed in at 256.

10/1/2011 I weighed in at 246.

Today I weighed in at 202! That's 54 pounds! Woot Woot!

I weighed myself this morning.... 183.4.  Which didn't surprise me at all.  My husband and I had a weekend get away and left our kids with my in-laws.  Needless to say a lot of eating and not a lot of working out.  though we did buy a double jogger while we were gone.  Today after naps I plan on starting c25k with my kids.  Should be interesting.

Going the right direction 168.6!

154! Up a lb from Fri morning, but considering my wknd, a 1.5lb loss for the week still rocks my socks.

Let's go Red Team...let's all kick this week's ass!

Buzzer Beater and Christinlin... Thank you for the kind words and the encouragement.

Claybear...Your progress is motivating!

I've spent the past hour doing yard work; came in to get water and am getting outside to do more.

187.7 down a pound from last monday. This weekend will be hard for me. I'm flying to San Diego on Friday. I live outside of San Francisco. My kids are staying with their dad, I'm just taking the nursling! I already know that I am breaking my diet for sushi. I have been asking my sister to take me to my favorite sushi place for about 5 years, maybe more. So I am finally going and my diet will have to be set aside for that meal. Still dealing with AF but hopefully the birth control will help soon.

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone faithfully gives me on this thread. I',m happy to be here even though I'm dealing with my health and haven't had big losses. At least I have lost a pound each week!

Thanks for letting me sneak in before the cut-off time.  Everyone here is an inspiration for trying and accomplishing.  I find it refreshing to see people being honest about how their daily lives affect their goals

208 (down 2.5 from last week).  I am trying to channel the frustration of losing the same pounds into getting things done.  I tried Tae Bo for the first time this week.  It was great fun but it kicked my body into sore mode for several days.

216.2    Well, at least it's going downward. My rings feel tight so maybe holding onto water weight.

Today I weigh 159 pounds.

I realised today that dried papaya spears have TONS of calories and I eat so many of them. I am going to have to skip the dried fruit and eat only fresh.

Good luck RED TEAM! (especially to me because I don't have much confidence in myself right now)

Trekkingirl -- yeah for a loss! (And sushi sounds like a pretty safe splurge!)

Vermont girl -- I still eat dried, but in much smaller amounts (2 z dried vs. 6 oz fresh fruit)

I sent dbsam a private message.  I know how hard it is when so much weight loss loams.  I weight 237.8 pounds today, I feel comfortable at about 190 pounds, and my "goal" is 169.  That is a long way away.

Oh my goodness yes!! Same problem here. But you are right, also a very good motivation for "behaving" on the weekend.  I got myself from 195 to 191 this week. But, then I was 193.4 this morning!

I ate well, but did eat at a reastaurant and had some drinks.  I can't get away with anything!

I used to do Weight Watchers, with a Thursday weigh in.  It was bad, I was always bad on the weekend and thought I could "fix" it between Monday and Thursday.  I plan to have better results with this Monday weigh in challenge.

Yes, I feel like Monday forces me to stay with it when I want to be bad. If we did Friday, I would be good all week and then undue all my hard work on the weekends! Blah.
