Am I the only one who is still unable to eat? Still severely nauseous. Hyperemesis slowly going away but stil can barely eat.

I've eaten 2 oranges and a block of tofu. (First tofu I've eaten in 7 years, I never eat processed soy but at the co-op it was the only thing that looked even remotely edible to me. I normally eat lots of TF but the idea of meat makes me so I'll I can't even tell you, I have a full drop in freezer full to the brim with pastured local organic meat that I haven't even touched in 3 months.

I'm so jealous that you all seem to be feeding yourselves and your babies healthy varied and enough food.

I feel like I'm still in survival mode.

Oh and drink: Ice chips.

oh nukuspot! I'm so sorry for your suffering. I'm now at 15 weeks, and I've been vomit-free for 1 week. I hope you will be able to eat soon, too. During my severe nasuea, I couldn't go near oranges (they still don't look that good to me) but bananas were heaven sent. the absolute best thing to throw up, for me, was banana. wishing you food soon.

b- pear

lunch- romaine salad with carrots, tomato, cucumber and a little bit of dressing. 1/2 of a eggplant sandwhich on wheat and a GF coconut cashew chocolate chip cookie

afternoon snack- home brewed tea with fennel, red raspberry leaf, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger, mixed with so delicious vanilla coconut beverage

dinner will probably be more of my left over salad (like 3-4 cups of salad) and brown rice penne with tempeh mushroom stroganoff and maybe a GF rosemary olive dinner roll

I am trying to go GF and vegan as much as possible. I know it would be near impossible with my 6.5 month old with medical issues and down syndrome, a home business, last week of closing escrow, and a generally busy schedule to go completely GF and vegan but I try. I am 100% vegetarian and have been for almost 5 years. Ill only occassionally have a little cheese, whole wheat bread, or sprouted wheat bread.

border stories- you have inspired me to make raw brownies! I have wanted to make them for a while, and even have all the ingredients in the cupboard.

nukuspot, I've joined you for the day, as most of what I've 'eaten' is Gatorade, and most of *that* has prematurely exited my body through one of various undesirable channels. I can't imagine how you must feel doing this day after day. Fingers crossed for you to be able to eat more, and soon.

nukuspot.  I still feel like that now at 14 weeks.  I ate oranges, apple, some yogurt with walnuts and barley/quinoa/buckwheat soup that DH made last night.  Some of it still came out in the morning. I just can't stand greens or green vegetables ( I am drinking them in a protein shake  DH got me to help me eat some green veggies)

Hopefully we can start eating all the healthy foods soon.

I haven't eaten a green veggie other than cucumber for over 3 months. Prepregnancy I could easily say my favorite food was kale... Green smoothie sounds like a good idea but I don't know what I'd put in it that wouldn't make me feel sick fruit wise!

B: bowl of oatmeal with half of an apple diced in, a few raisins, grade c maple syrup, raw milk

snack: two slices of dark sunflower seed bread toasted with butter and peanut butter, sprinkle of sea salt :0 so good.

L: spicy rice with scrambled eggs & vegetables mixed in

D: (planned) meatballs with tons of onion, parsley, cilantro, with cucumber yogurt sauce and a big greek salad

I can't bear to list the delicious and unhealthy foods that I'm dying to eat but trying to avoid!!

hi everyone, i was happy to read the above posts and see that i am not the only one who has an aversion to greens right now....so strange. aloha!

so far today:

green smoothie (spinach, banana, strawberry, kiwi, almond milk, brown rice protein powder)

hard-boiled egg

an entire red bell pepper

an avocado

a cup of coffee (haven't had any in a week, but i've been getting awful headaches)

a cup of full-fat greek yogurt with honey

planned for dinner: grilled salmon, possibly with pesto

grilled asparagus

another smoothie

i recently read nina planck's "real food for mother and baby" and i've been trying to follow her advice about eating lots of protein and calcium in the second tri. i was also a pescetarian until getting pregnant, when i started eating a little red meat to boost my iron and protein. recently bought grass-fed ground beef (first meat i've purchased and cooked in more than a decade, besides fish). kind of a trip to be eating meat again, but i feel pretty good, and i am ok with it for the time being as long as i stick to ethically raised, small-farmed, grass-fed, free-range etc etc.

Wow! You guys are impressive smile.gif

Today I had:

B: whole wheat toast with Nutella and a glass of milk
L: small bowl of the kids Annie's Mac & Cheese and a handful of grapes
S: Cheez-it's

Yesterday

B: Greek yogurt and granola
S: Fiber bar
L: Cottage cheese and peaches and a banana
D: Kale chips and an orange

It might not seem like it, but I am really trying to eat more than just crackers, which is about all that really sounds good.
