2 bedroom house: 3 kids! - Page 2

We have always had a two bedroom.  We are a family of 6.  The oldest has moved out now but until she did she shared a bedroom with her sister who is 6 years younger than her.  Not ideal for a teenager!!  The two boys have always slept in our room.  Around November we got them a little bunk bed (We were tired of sharing our bed with both of them!!) and it's in our room.  They are 5 and 4 now.  This arrangement will probably work for a few more years for us.  The kids don't keep toys in our room.  They have very few to begin with.  We keep them all in the family room.  

 

When people say stuff about how many of us there are in such a small space, I just remind them that we are so blessed to have what we do, and that people in most parts of the world live in far smaller spaces with more people!!

We have a 2 bedroom house and 3 kids...all boys. Right now the 6 and 3.5 year old share a room with bunk beds and the babe is with us.  When the babe moves over to the boy room we will either add a trundle under the bunks, a loft for the oldest, or another set of bunks.  We have a large playroom in the basement.

My in-laws have a 4 bedroom double wide. At one point they had 11 people, only 3 of which were little. Hubby's bed from age 12 till we married was the couch. He just had his pillows and blankets in the corner or in his Mom's room. He shared a couple dresser drawers and closet space with his oldest sister living at home at the time. It was crowded, but it helps to pare down the junk. : )
