For the outer fabric, can you use cotton blends? Or does it have to be flannel or fleece??

Personally, I like mine to be cotton just because it is natural and I only want natural fibers touching me there. I know some people like micro fleece on top but I have never seen a pad with a blend on top. I can't think of any reason not too except that maybe it wouldn't be as absorbant as cotton. HTH.

I use hemp/cotton blend or 100% cotton flannel.
Hemp is antibacterial, so it's my fave.
Poly/cotton blends do not soak up, and can irritate your skin.
Depending on the flow, malden mills micro can sometimes resist and leave you feeling wetter.

Guess I'll stick to flannel and a few fleece. I can't afford to buy hemp so it will have to be those two fabrics.
Thanks!
Thanks!
