I am looking into starting juicing and was wondering what is a good juicer to get started with? I want to be able to do greens and beets, carrots, apples, etc. I want something easy to clean and would make at least one juice a day for myself and my kids, possibly my parents too if I can get them into it too :) any recommendations on a middle of the road type juicer that is good to get started with?

post #2 of 24/15/12 at 3:14pmI made a similar thread just a couple of days ago. I was directed to this site to read up on different models: bestjuicers.com
I also asked around on one of the other forums that I frequent. If you plan to do a lot of leafy greens, then a masticating juicer is considered best. If you don't plan to use leafy greens very often and just plan to do juicy veggies and fruit, then centrifugal juices are fine.
I personally intend to do both (more leafy veggies though) so I ended up purchasing the Omega VRT350. I've used it 4 times in the past 24 hours and have included leafy greens, apples, carrots, cucumbers...pretty much every fruit or veggie in my fridge/pantry and have gotten a great juice each and every time. I highly recommend it. It's easy to both assemble and clean. A con is that it is $379, BUT if you sign up on Bed Bath & Beyond's online site you can get a 20% off coupon.
There are other juicers on the site above that have great reviews, some of which are cheaper. Just look through the descriptions. There are also tons of videos on youtube.
