Hello everyone.

Henry Robert was born 4/11/12 at home in the water. It was a lovely (and fast) birth. I was only able to push in the water as they struggled to get the tub full enough. But no complaints on a short labor joy.gif He was 7lbs 13oz and 20". I've been having a bit of a short milk supply so yesterday my ND added the pump after every nursing session (blech). If any other mums have had good luck increasing their supply i'd love to hear tips. I'm also taking herbs and drinking the mother's milk tea. He's gaining weight but just not as much as she'd like to see. Hope everyone's enjoying their baby BLISS.

cj congrats and great pic! Best thing for me was to keep the baby skin to skin all of the time with me.  Something about smelling the baby and having the baby right there just increased baby's nursing which increased my milk and response. I hope everything works for you, sorry pumping can be a bummer but I hope it is a short term thing that gets you the increase you need.

Congratulations to all who have had their babes since I was last on on Sunday!

Charlotte Reed was born Monday 4/16/12 at 11:00pm after a very long and difficult labor. It was not the labor or birth I envisioned but at the end of it all I did get my Vbac! I am having a very difficult recovery and am having a hard time getting around and taking care of baby and trying to take care of myself! In many ways the csection recovery was easier! I'm also having breast feeding issues which is contributing to all this pp stress but we will work it all out and I'm blessed and humbled every time I look at my little miracle!

Marnica, congrats!  I'm sorry your experience wasn't all that you planned. I had a very similar one with my first VBAC - long labour ending in a forceps delivery.  I know how disappointing (and painful!) it can be.  Take good care of yourself, and give yourself lots of time to heal!  Blessings to you and your sweet little one.

MamaChick, how cool that she was born in the caul. I've always thought that would be amazing. Congrats!

Jedidiah Trout joined us last night at 10:48pm. 9lbs 9oz, 21 1/2 inches, more than a pound and half bigger than my other babies. It was not the quick and easy birth I was hoping for, but it was good to be at home with people who believed in me. I am amazed at what my body did, without so much as a scrape. He had a minor shoulder dystocia, and I was able to walk from my bathrrom to my bed (about 12 ft) with his head out so my midwife could do what she needed. He was a bit slow to start, but now I am enjoyin sweet, milky snuggles.
