47 and scared

Hi I’m Ana, I’m 5 weeks (I think) pregnant and I’m 47. I have two other siblings from a previous marriage and my new husband has none of his own, when we found out that I was pregnant it was the happiest day of our lives. When the doctor confirmed the good news he ran and told everyone. This week I felt some stomach problems and went to the hospital. They did a scan and only saw the gestational sac  but no embryo. Now I’m scared stiff that there’s no baby. Has this happen with any of you?

Sorry I can't respond to the medical side of things, but I surely can send a hug. It has been some time - do you have any answers to what is happening? I wish you the best!

I went thru a similar experience and can relate to the fear you feel. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep us posted.

Yes, please let us know how you are doing.

One of my miscarrages was like that. I don't care if there is a sac or not, it is still very emotional.

Wishing you well.
