Hi there -I'm new here (to MDC, the Due Date Club, the whole pregnancy thing - all of it!). I've been having cramping for the last couple of weeks, though we just found out I'm pregnant on Thursday evening. I get them after any amount of physical exertion, like even just walking up the stairs. I'm not overly worried, as I know this is normal in pregnancy, but I was wondering if anyone can offer pearls of wisdom as far as how long I can expect the cramping to last. They're fairly dull and feel sort of like I'm about to get my period (which is what I thought until Thursday!).
Cramping is totally normal, your uterus is growing and stretching those round ligaments. I know it can be scary! This is my 7th pregnancy and after 3 losses, cramps still scare me sometimes. Just do something healthy for you and the baby: make some pregnancy tea, take a warm bath, read some amazing natural birth stories or lie down with a cozy blanket and take a nap.
