How much clothes does DS need?

Going shopping at the consignment event for DS spring summer wardrobe. He is 19.5 months & wearing 18 month clothes. 24 month shirts fit a little big. Will be 2 on August 5. We are in Vegas so hot weather is already starting & I am unlikely to need warm cloths before the next event.

How much of what should I buy? Is 24 month the same as 2T? Advice greatly appreciated.

2T generally has a little less room for the bulk of a diaper.  Otherwise, 2T and 24m are about the same.

Since you have a long hot season, I'd plan on 2 weeks worth of whatever size he is now, and then 2 weeks of the next size up.  Maybe 3 weeks if he tends to ruin things.  I try to keep about 1 week worth out for my kids at a time, with a few nicer outfits to rotate for going out or Sunday's.  But, when we've lived in warmer places, and especially when they play outside alot, stuff gets ruined and I'm always thankful to have things in reserve.

I find short sleeve shirts and shorts last a long time but between brands it's crazy. My dd has been wearing Carter's 2t,24m, and gap 3t for 7m and now where near outgrowing. Kids really slow down at 2yrs.

Figure out what brands you like the size. Carter's great for cloth, gap great without cloth. So I've had to switch back and forth as potty training progresses.

I wash clothes only a very regular basis, see potty training above, and find 10tops and 10 bottoms plenty, and go for mix and match stuff.. Dd doesn't need dressy stuff.

I travel a lot and need a weekends worth of clothes for dd that include enough for the day before and day after of travel, 7-10days,, I could go as low as 5-7 outfits (3-5 toddler days of clothes) without long trips

Thanks mamas! Very helpful! I never thought about thing getting ruined. Is that why I can't find things for him at thrift stores? If anyone else wants to chime in please do.
