Delayed/Selective Vaccine Schedule?

Thread Starter

Hi,

My husband and I are trying to figure out what we are going to do about vaccinating (or not) our 6-week old baby. We think we are going to wait until 6 months to do any vaccinations. I was wondering if anyone else waited until 6 months, and if so, was wondering if you could share the schedule that you used?

Thanks in advance for any information!

I'm sorry, I didn't delay to vax (which I regret). I think if I have another baby, I probably will not vax or wait a bit 6mo, 12mos, 24mos... to do any.

Have you read Dr. Sears book? You could do some sort of schedule like the ones he purposed. If you haven't already, maybe take the next few months to figure out exactly what you want to vax for, what age would be best (some vax make more sense before adolescence instead of for infants). You could also take a look at ingredients/type of vaccine and maybe decide to space out live virus, combo vaccines, vax with worse ingredients, etc. I also think it is good to re-evaluate as time goes on and situations change. Lots of posters here have pointed out, it is easy to opt-in at any time, impossible to un-do, so it is good to be as sure as you can... which I know most people with vax concerns never are 100% sure...

personally, we space out our vaccinations and that has worked really well. My DD's doctor, Dr. Sears, prefers this method also.
