Do I need a snap press for my poopockets pattern?

I swear this diaper making business is going to kill me. And I'm not even the one sewing them! LOL!

My mom has the poopockets side snapping pattern.... we had planned on using aplix until I realized what pattern she had.

So what do I do? Do we need to buy a snap press now? Aren't those like $60 to purchase?

You can use a SnapSetter tool (about $10) and metal snaps. Many of the places that carry diaper fabrics have them. I used one with success, though I started making so many diapers that I decided a press was worth the cost when you figure the resale value.

You can also send your diaper so someone with a press to snap for you usually you just have to pay shipping and the cost of snaps (about 10 cents a snap), you can also do side aplix some people love it though I've never tried it.just put the loop where the sockets would go and the hook where the studs would go.

Thanks, Janessa. I think I decided to go ahead and get the snap press - a mother's day present for mom! But I also really like the idea of the side aplix. That way we can use the same pattern, and make diapers that Daddy approves of too. Thanks for the tip!
