oak meadow online but not enrolled?

Has anyone used the Oak Meadow online curriculums? the ones where the lessons are all online but you're not enrolled and don't have teacher support.

What's your experience been?  I searched through some old threads that looked critical, but I couldn't tell if it was for the enrolled option or just the online.

This would be for 5th and 7th grades.

I assume that the online option is the same as the printed manuals...?

I've used the not enrolled option but with printed manuals for prek - kindy, and 1 year for my 6th grade brother. I really very much liked it. the curriculum is wonderful and creative. I plan on using it as long as I'm homeschooling.

I think the enrollment option is really more for people in very HS law restrictive states and otherwise totally un-necessary.

I was thinking online would be the same as print too, but I'm not sure.  I want to make sure the quality is the same and that they are always available, not going down or offline frequently.
